They fit great, are comfortable and he has no trouble taking them on and off by himself. They also aren't clunky and don't slow him down in the least. I will be honest and say my son is very hard on shoes and thus I didn't expect to get more than one season out of any boots. Most shoes last about 4-6 months as he finds a favorite pair and lives in them. That being said we only got 3 weeks out of these boots. I can handle the scuffs and worn look (totally our fault) but they are already cracking at the seams and will not keep his feet dry. I had hoped these would get us through the spring rainy season but I am already going to have to find something else. These are great for occasional use but not serious daily wear. I will say that my boys are hard on shoes and we live on a farm so we might give them more work than the average child. However, I expect them to last more than 2 months before they're useless. I reached out regarding the other pair and they replaced them for me but also charged my account. So I paid for 3 pairs and received 3 pairs. All of them cracked in less than 2 months. I wish I had never spent money on this brand. Purchased in late August 2017, had to replace with new rainboots by November 2017. I couldn't understand why my 3-year old was coming home from preschool with wet socks until I inspected her required school rainboots for outside play. Rubber material is cracking on the shaft, even where rubber material is doubled up on the back seam the material cracked. I understand products have a lifecycle but this is unacceptable. I regularly buy new rainboots every 6 months as feet grow, not because the product didn't perform. This was the first.
