Cotton Patches .17-.22 Caliber - 100 Count for Firearm Cleaning and Maintenance

These small patches are great if you are using a jag. The brass or nickel jags work best, as the fit is very snug. I've cut the 1 inch patches in half for .22 bores, so these provide a welcome change to that routine. If you are using them with the slotted attachment or with larger calibers, they might be a bit small. As far as the material, I'm seeing very few threads and no lint flying off. No tearing - they are quite strong enough.

These gun patches work well with a 9mm. Purchased an M&P Shield recently and bought these to clean up the gun. They catch the oils very well and don't leave residue behind. However, I do have to say that, if you use much force at all, the threads will start to come out. So, be sure not to use the pads for too long. Otherwise, the threads may get left behind in the barrel or in other parts of your gun. Other than that, this product works well and comes in just the right quantity.

They put the size right there up front and somehow I was surprised that they were smaller than I'd like. 3/4" is probably good for .17 or .177, but .22 or .223, not so much The patches are exactly as advertised and the price is right. To me they're useless, nevertheless I gotta give 'em 5 stars.

I'm very happy with these patches. I have a Sig Sauer P238 (.380) and a FNX9 (9mm) and they work perfectly for the guns. Great product and got it at a good price here on Amazon. Glad I bought them.

I associate Tipton brand with a very nice price to value ratio. Many of the patches, which arrived in a very rumpled, unsealed bag, are already shredding. I have enough experience cleaning guns over the last 45 years to know that these will continue to shred further. These were less expensive than many of the other options and I can see why. I've yet to use these to clean my T/C muzzleloader. If they prove me wrong and don't shred, I'll happily update this review.
