The metal chain is unbelievably heavy (probably about a half pound or so), and the stitching doesn't come off.This product will fit in your pants if you have big pockets. This thing is HUGE. First of all it does not fit in the back pocket of my jeans, but does fit in the front pocket, which is where I wanted to carry it anyway for travel. If you wear skinny jeans, forget it. If you want to fit a passport, this is your only real option in a wallet. It has a passport pocket where it fits perfectly. I don't understand why anyone thinks the chain on these is heavy, it is not heavy. If it were any lighter it wouldn't be secure.
