How exactly is it "flexible"? Can the case rotate on the armband to be viewed upside down or are they just saying you can put it on upside down?

It is a pretty basic case. I believe flexible is in relation to the elastic armband itself. The case does not rotate on the armband.

Yes. I use the iPod Classic and it fits perfectly.

No you cannot remove the armband from the ipod part.
