How fast is this tape, is it really 100 mph?

Haha....It is also known as duct tape to civilians. Most likely it is until long exposure to the outside elements.

Check mfr spec.s for specifics. Used on variety of applications, ie fixed tarps last fall and holding up to NE weather still.

Will this work on a canvas gazebo cover that has torn from the wind?

I would say no. Unless the canvas is plastic coated. If it is, whip stitch the tear together and on top, use a strip on either side of the tear and two over the top of the tear. Same on the bottom. Not permanent. Should keep it for a while.
