The mesh is fine enough to be able to remove most debris except the really fine ones. Solid build, and the mesh feels strong enough to withstand the occasional friction with other utensils without punching a hole in it.

Amazing product

I use these for filtering the oil quickly during the day in a fryer , the filter size is good for getting pretty small particles out of the oil. Quality feels pretty good, I think potentially over time the weld between the handle and head will go as it just looks like a weak point however it’s so far been sturdy enough for multiple daily uses over a few months.

I was a little disappointed when I received these, as I expected a bit heavier weight of tool. I use them primarily for straining vegetable and meat stocks (because I could not find a conical strainer with mesh as fine as this). I also use it when making ghee, and to strain oil from deep frying. The very fine stainless steel mesh strains well and tolerates hot liquids and oils without doing damage to the strainer.

Fabulous. They are great at doing the job they were made for. Now I can skim the fat from the tops of my stews and casseroles, and from soups too without any bother. Definitely recommend.
