Wonderful book. Wish I had known about it earlier

Wonderful book. Wish I had known about it earlier. Provides a huge amount of information on how the British came to see coal smoke as pollution. Much of what went on then is being mirrored in policy debates now. If you are interested in energy and the environment, as well as the 'science' of policy-making, I highly recommend this book. It does jump around a little chronologically, but I didn't find that a problem.
