Tried And True. Can't Go Wrong With This
Tried and true. I've used this pretty much my whole life, and it's always good. It's pretty much flavorless (not sweetened to taste like vanilla or chocolate, that is), which isn't to everyone's liking, but I find it's more versatile that way. I find it mixes up well too.

The best protein powder!
EDIT: I have been using this product for about a year now. Still love it. I now use room temperature water because I found out cold water goes faster through your system and cold water is not a good idea during the winter. Here is something that I highly recommend that really helps with the foam if you are just drinking this protein powder with water like I am: add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil (other oils should work, too) before shaking. This will really lessen the foam and make this protein powder even more enjoyable! First off, I have been using the protein powder for about five months. The protein powder rocks because it is one ingredient, rice protein. If you are looking for safe protein, this is it, organic. The taste is fine, but everything is relative. This is how it worked for me, I threw some scoops in a water bottle, shook it very well, and took it with me to sip throughout the day. It tasted horrible. I drank it. Long story short, now I LOVE it. I shake several scoops in a Nalgene water bottle using cold water and down it in two big portions. Yes, it gets foamy, and I drink right through it. With any foam and protein left at the bottom, I pour a tiny amount of water in the bottle, swirl it a bit, drink, and everything I put in the bottle is now in me. I have not tried adding this powder to any shakes or foods. So, my advice, if you do not like the taste, give it a month using the method described in the above paragraph. Keep in mind that this is one of the safest protein powders around, so it might be worth it.

Fulfills My Needs
First off, I am a vegetarian and I was looking for a protein powder to supplement my diet just in case. I don't suffer from any obvious signs of protein deficiency or anything, so I can't speak for that. I try to stay away from whey since it gives me stomach aches and nausea, so I've been trying this out. I was reading that pea protein powder is completely lab generated (not sure if it's true) so I got this one, though I'm not sure if this is lab-made as well. At least I'm trying. I mix two tablespoons with a glass of plain water mostly because I just want to keep it simple and it's fast. If I wanted, I could mix this with almond milk or chocolate syrup or something to make it tastier. The packaging doesn't say how much water I should mix it with, so it gives you free reign on that based on your preference. It doesn't have a certain labeled flavor or anything, but basically it tastes like brown rice. It's not great...but it does the job and that's all I'm concerned about during my busy weekdays. Picky people would probably not like this too much. This is the most grainy, gritty protein powder I've had so far. Imagine mixing fine sand in water. It never really mixes, it just kind of swirls around and settles if you let it sit for too long. Maybe I'm putting too much powder for the amount of water I'm using. Anyway, it feels gritty in my mouth. Still, this is a great value, it's vegan, hypoallergenic, organic, and seems healthy enough. I feel like the protein is close enough to the original source, so that makes me feel a little safer. This is a pretty large container too so it will last me a while. It's pretty simple and straight-forward, and that's what I was looking for.

Mixes easily; tastes great; minimally processed; organic
Nutribiotic Organic Rice Protein, Plain, 3 Pound is the best protein compared to Now Soy Protein Isolate, Now Pea Protein and Nutiva Hemp Protein. All are mostly pure protein, no added ingredients. All are fairly easy to digest. Nutiva Hemp Protein is least processed and has many additional nutrients none of the others have, such as iron, magnesium and zinc; however, it is not a complete protein since it is low in lysine. Nutribiotic Organic Rice Protein, Now Soy Protein Isolate and Now Pea Protein are complete proteins. What makes Nutribiotic Organic Rice Protein superior to the others is it tastes best, mixes just as easily, is derived through a process that doesn't use harmful chemicals, namely hexane, and it's organic. I see many people have posted about terrible flavor and gritty texture. None of the complaints are based on any real experience with nonflavored protein powders. I mixed two heaping tablespoons (30 grams) of Nutribiotic Organic Rice Protein with 6 ounces of flax milk, cinnamon, and a teaspoon of molasses. Shook well. Made a perfect protein drink. Actually tastes very good. It's a little more expensive per gram of protein than Now Soy Protein Isolate, but it's worth the it.

Very gritty but great quality
Super disappointed with this product. It does not mix well with cold water, it mixes better wtih warm/hot. I have to blend it hard on high for 2-3 min to completly dissolve in cold water. I am not a fan on this powder at all. Using it for a detox cleanse and found it way to gritty even when drinking it and the texture was horrible with a horrible taste for me.. Adding Ceylon cinnamon, Raw cocoa or Stevia green powder liquid helped the taste. Still had that nasty gritty texture. I ended up with the plain no flavor. I don’t like the grit/ taste or texture . It is really hard to find organic ingredients of just one and not with other processed seed oils . I was happy about that. If you’re a fan of rice products, this may be for you but it was not for me. No refunds available. I would have taken it back for refund. I was able to digest it well hence I’ll keep using it up. Adding those few flavors helped tolerate this product more. The grit and texture WOW just too much. Pumpkin seed protien powder was much better and going back to my other brand

Good product, not a great taste...
I like the ingredients of this product but it does not do my morning smoothie (frozen spinach, blueberries, cashew milk, vanilla, mct oil) any favors. Perhaps if you just gulp it down for nutritional value alone it would be ok but I like to enjoy my food. And maybe I just haven't found the right recipe for it yet. It has found its way to the back of the cupboard for now until I find a way to enjoy it. In all fairness, it is the plain flavor so it's to be expected that you need to do something to enhance its flavor. If you don't have any problems with dairy and find a sustainable source of whey protein powder I would say that tastes better every time. Whey protein powder gives all my smoothies a bit of a milkshake flavor, who doesn't love that? I was using Jay Robbs Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate but it got to be too expensive. So yummy though!

Good vegan protein option.
Too rice protein for years but it is naturally high in aluminum because the rice plant has an affinity for aluminum in the soil.
