Would like to use one for beer brewing** A: I believe not. It is cast iron which is not approved for comestible water. It is not NSF approved. You need a bronze/brass pump. **Q: I am replacing a grundfos pump in a boiler system. part number 59896769. will this pump work? all other numbers match. max temp needs to be 230f** A: I would say yes. I am running mine on 180f and it work great and am running it on # 3.
