Review: Zero problems getting the Intuos S running on Linux Mint - The 'Renewed' Wacom tablet looked like new when I took it out of the box it came in. The box was your typical plain brown cardboard box printed with a large Wacom logo. Inside the box everything was held securely by a custom cut and folded piece of packing cardboard. This box looked like it might normally be covered by a slip cover in the (un-renewed) retail packaging. I had no problems getting the tablet running on Linux Mint - I just connected the enclosed USB cable to the tablet and plugged the cable into an empty USB port on my computer. I then opened up the 'System Settings' tool (a.k.a. 'control panel' in Windows) and there was a new 'Graphics Tablet' icon that I could click on to set up the tablet. Please note that I'm running Linux; I believe if you're running Windows or OSX you will need to install some drivers first. While I don't need (and can't use because I'm running Linux) any of the software that comes with the tablet, I did register the tablet with Wacom. Wacom asks you to enter the 'Model Number' of the product you are registering, and shows you were you can find the model number on the retail packaging - which the renewed product does not come in. However, the box does have a sticker on it that is printed with numbers and barcodes, none of which are labeled as the model number. On my second try to register the product, I found that the number printed on the bottom right of the label was the model number that Wacom wanted. In my case, the number they wanted started with 8AH00... By the way, I did see a 'Software Library' option during the registration process which is where you download the software extras that are bundled with the tablet. Again, I did not do this. So... Am I happy? Yup. Everything that came - tablet, pen, USB cord and packaging - all look unused and like new. The tablet is working well for me so far, although like any graphics tablet it will take me a while to get comfortable using it. If I wanted to buy a Intuos S would I buy a renewed one again? In a heartbeat. The savings I realized by buying a renewed tablet compared to the full 'new' price made this purchase - for me - a no brainer.

If you want to get started in digital art this is a cheap great place to start
I've owned this for over a year now, this is the first and only drawing tablet I've owned and I've had no issues with it except random driver issues causing it to spaz out once in a blue moon but is easily fixed with a quick restart or unplugging and plugging back in. As I mentioned very rare. The software bundled with the product is worth the price alone, corel painter has really intresting tools and features but clip studio is absolutely a endless world of opportunity for doing anything from painting to manga to even animation. I will give a warning that the software is very confusing to get started with and reccomend picking up paint tool sai as a beginner software as it's much easier to navigate and understand. As for the tablet itself I have no complaints, I will say you may want to opt for a larger size if you use multiple monitors as it seems to track the space of all monitors, not sure if theres a way to change this or not. From a future perspective I will say a larger size would be easier to do more precise lines as you're not restricted by the small drawing area. In summary this is a excellent beginner's tablet and the software included is worth the price alone however if you have the money a larger size tablet would be more ideal. Remember to watch or read tutorials on how to use the software for an easier time starting out.

2021 Product Review - Wacom Intuos S (2018) (basic review with model info)
Wacom Intuos S (2018) Active Area: Small: 152.0 x 95.0 mm (6.0 x 3.7 in) Color: CTL-4100 (black) Model Number: Small: CTL-4100 Product Type: Tablet with a pressure-sensitive, cordless, battery-free pen Tablet Size: Small: 200 x 160 x 8.8 mm / 7.87 x 6.3 x 0.35 in Active Area: Small: 152.0 x 95.0 mm (6.0 x 3.7 in) Color: CTL-4100 (black) Model Number: Small: CTL-4100 Product Type: Tablet with a pressure-sensitive, cordless, battery-free pen Tablet Size: Small: 200 x 160 x 8.8 mm / 7.87 x 6.3 x 0.35 in ----------- When registering this product (via the updated drivers from the Wacom site) this is what it to me this tablet was. The following are the aspects registered with the device. Now with that being said. The tablet is fantastic for mobile on the go tablet for laptops and any USB-capable device you might want to draw on. For the price this is, it's a good moderate beginners tablet without breaking the bank on a larger built-in display model. I found that it responds well, but some people (like myself) have had driver issues with windows and pen pressure sensitivity. My recommendation is to go to the Wacom help center, type in "pen pressure not working" and find the answers you seek as to how to correct this for your particular device/operating system. Hope this helps.

Wacom Intros S (2018)
Great Staring tablet for beginners , arrived on time with no problems and it's was refurbished with no problems at all. :) To redeem your free programs here two advise to help. 1. If you are a new user you need to make a Wacom account before you try to register your new device. 2. If you already have a Wacom account you just need to log in. Download the driver that you need and then register your device in the Wacom desktop app afterwards you can download your apps. The three program that's included (from my experience, could vary by different users.) : Corel Painter Essential 8 (90 days trail./ Beginner Art.) Corel After shot Pro (90 days trail./photo editing.) Clip studio paint (2 years license. / Art, illustration, animation.) Definitely a great way to start into digital drawing. ^_^
