Utz Potato Stix, Original, 15 oz Canister

I remember these from long ago. Recently, I watched a cooking video, where someone was searching for these as an Asian ingredient in fancy hot dogs from across the world. I searched on Amazon, and here they are. Nothing much Asian about these. Anyway, I am using these as crunchy toppings for hot dogs, salads, etc. They showed up overnight, and the can is much bigger that it looked online, whatever than means, but there are plenty of 'em in the can. Of course, they are like chips, super lightweight. I'd guess about eight cups in the resealable can. A nice surprise is that they are a lot less salty than I remember, but still very tasty and crunchy, and a nice side. If you are used to super-salty potato chips, these are pretty nice. Salt is the last ingredient. Sodium, per the label is only 4%DV/serving. These are great for salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, or even a little handful when you want a little crunch.

I’ll be back to give detail. But I feel like I MUST say now, Yes! lol. Like I remember. Not too salty. Not greasy! (Not the ones I received!) Crunchy ’tatery snack. So lightweight it is easy to eat more than you realize. Yum. … Afraid to order again, as It looks like someone ate them much too quickly.

Just notice that this is a BIG can of shoestring potato sticks! They are crispy and delicious, as always. I just expected the can to be the usual size that you get in the store, which is smaller. I should have paid attention to the "15 oz" size that the ad very clearly states, but I didn't. Still, I've found that as I'm eating the potato sticks over time, (and I always put the lid back on), they are staying crispy and fresh-tasting. So, I don't mind that it's a big can!

I like potato sticks. I eat them in spurts. I tried to buy some in the stores recently, seems like they are not carrying them. Anyhow I got these and would purchase again. Never had this brand before. They are nice and light, not all that heavy oil taste that some of them tend to have. I put some in a very tiny dish at night to have with my vino. Total win. Four stars only since it’s not a Healthy food no matter how you look at it. Ha

Adequate shelf life and they stay fresh for several days after being opened (maybe 10-12 days). Good flavor and crunch. Nice change from potato chips.

15 ounce does not mean volumn...it means weight! I ordered a pack of four. When they arrived I discovered I now had enough shoestring-cut potato sticks to last me for a good while. Not only is the price good for 60 ounces, they are very delicious as other reviews have noted. I am glad I wasn't paying close attention when I ordered. In a few months when I run out, I will ......for sure....place another order.

Good price so I bought it. Not expired and arrived in one piece. You won’t be disappointed.

These have great potato taste, a reasonable amount of salt and are quite tasty. BUT these pieces are mostly a bit more than inch long, a few were almost 2 inches long.. Obviously this prevents wasted potatoes and perhaps comes from unused bits of potato when making chips. Maybe. If so, that's good, I guess. But they aren't easy to eat without making a mess. BUT for those rare people who enjoy potato chips crumbles on their ice cream, these may be ideal. ( salty/sweet combo)
