I’m not sure it was tuned but it was strung. I’m afraid ours went back as the finish on the neck was very poor so the fret metals actually cut my sons finger. May have been a one off I don’t know but I didn’t order a replacement. Shame as the overall package seemed pretty good for the price as a beginner guitar
