The Gold Rush expansion is the expansion that truly mixes things up. The introduction of equipment can add for some unique opportunities and really put add a twist to your strategy. I would suggest that players become comfortable with the standard rules before adding this element into the game. While it is very fun, the added tactics might make BANG! a tad overwhelming for a newcomer. However, once you understand the basics of the game, it's easy as pie to throw this in. this expansion adds another subsystem to the whole game and it adds more fun. it deserves a try and the box is big enough (without the plastic shelf inside) to hold all cards and signs that are available now.
