**Q: I have outdoor sconces. I Had LED bulbs fail because they were not suitable for enclosed fixtures. Are these designed for fully enclosed fixtures?**
A: The issue with an enclosed fixture is the extra heat it causes which is bad for LED light bulbs and drastically reduce their lifetime, unless it is specially designed to withstand high level of heat. Sorry this light bulb is not especially designed for that so we would not recommend using for enclosed fixtures.

A: When facing down, that usually means it's pretty safe for outside use, as the effect of rain wouldn't be as bad. These LED light bulbs are not waterproof, but just as the typical halogen versions, there shouldn't be a problem using these LED light bulbs outside in this situation.
