Kala KA-C Satin Mahogany Concert Ukulele

I did not know what to expect but I will say I am very happy. The sound is rich and beautiful. Tunes easily. I feel like it’s great for my kids who are learning to play but also great for me. I’ve had fun with this. Actually it is so nice, my daughter is learning on her sister’s and also my son. I’ve already ordered another and may end up with a third so they can all play together!

Sooooo, like many of you, I looked high and low for a ukulele online. I read countless reviews and settled on this one and let me just tell you I'm so glad I did! I absolutely love it! At least when my boyfriend and roommate aren't bogarting it. What they say about it coming out of tune easily in the beginning is true, but i find that the more i've been playing it, the less it's been happening (and since there are 3 of us, it took no time at all to hold it's tune longer). It's also nice looking. Not overly fancy, but it gets the job done and doesn't look cheap. I really can't reccommend this uke enough. BUY IT! I'm positive you'll love it as much as I/we do! Also, I didn't have to go to a shop for the whole setup thing that I've read about with some other ukes on the market. This was a Christmas gift for my husband and I was so happy it was delivered quickly and in tact. My husband is in love with this new concert uke and has been playing it non stop. The our came with high end strings on it and is a beautiful wood. Couldn’t be happier!

After much online reading about which Ukulele brand and style is good for a beginner I pick this one and I could not be happier. First off it looks great, like a real instrument, not like some of the toy ukuleles I have seen. The wood has a rich look to it and it feels like it should have cost a lot more. With a little bit of tuning with the cherub tuner I got also, I was making a decent sound for a person who has never played a stringed instrument. I have had it a couple of weeks now and I have had to tune it each day, but I have read that is normal for newly stringed instruments and it will eventually get broken in and stay in tune longer. The sound quality is great, it has a nice rich tone to it and with just a few cords that I have learned I can produce a really good tune.

I had a Kala Makala soprano and my music teacher (yes, I'm an adult taking music lessons) thought maybe the concert size would be a little easier. She was right. The soprano is so cute and I love mine, but the sound that comes out of this concert size is a little less tinny and more smooth. I enjoy practicing more and can practice for longer actually. I also purchased a Coroba 15cm concert uke at the same time. I thought the cordoba was absolutely gorgeous and I loved the lighter wood, but it sounded too boomy-echoy. I don't know how else to explain it. So, I stuck with this one because to me it seemed more the sound a uke would make and less the sound of a tiny guitar. Lastly, I don't know if I realized it came without white binding and closed gears, because I'm not sure if the price difference ($115 for this one and $80 for the non white binding open gear one at the time I purchased) is worth it. But I do like how the binding snazzes it up a bit! I would definitely recommend this ukelele.

I really like this ukulele, and have enjoyed playing it. The construction seems good, and I haven't noticed any flaws in how it was put together, its finish, or it's stability. It's very visually attractive, and aside from a few flaws in the fretboard wood it looks great! As far as intonation and play is concerned, it is alright. It barely deviates from being in tune up the fretboard, and seems to perform well. The sound is nice and rich, and while I'm just an intermediate player I like it a bit more than my soprano. The extra frets do come in handy for playing some songs as well. My only issue with it is that the third string can buzz a bit when playing the notes a little hard (within reason), but this is a random manufacturing defect that could occur in a new uke. Don't be afraid to return and re-buy this ukulele if you have buzzing issues that can't be easily fixed. Overall I would definitely buy this ukulele again. It's a pretty cool instrument, and this one performs well. I've talked to friends who have been interested in getting one, and this is the one I recommend.

To be honest I don’t know much about ukeleles, I had originally bought a cheap $20 from Amazon and constantly had to re-tune the strings and eventually gave up on it, but I’m super glad I bought this more expensive one this time around. It’s been a lot of fun learning to play on this one, and the quality is definitely much better than the cheap one I had before. Also, the strings stay in tune much longer. Definitely worth it to get this one if you were thinking of buying a ukelele

Upgrading from a beginner’s ukulele. For the significant improvement in sound quality, this uke is very reasonably priced. Sturdy with a nicely crafted body.

die ukulele ist wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet, hat einen schönen klang und das sagt kein anfänger. auf jeden fall sehr zu empfehlen. ich spiele sehr oft drauf (hab allerdings noch 8 andere).

This ukulele was bought for me as a present.when presented with it I first thought it would be a toy not as it turns out a serious instrument. How wrong I was, if you wish to learn to play a ukulele buy a Karla ka-c concert, I am a reasonable guitar player and so was able to learn quite quickly, the support on the Internet is amazing for these instruments. This uke by Karla is outstanding value for money it stays in tune it sounds good, it looks good, it has a quality nut and bridge and Aquila strings. Must mention omega music the supplier I am sure they must give these instruments the once over before sale because my example just plays so well, being a concert size gives more room for fingering, I can't put the damn thing down, JUST BUY IT!

Nel suo range di prezzo è davvero un ukulele di ottima fattura. Mi serviva un ukulele da portare con me senza disperarmi se veniva strapazzato un po'. Questo Kala è perfetto, ha un suono caldo ed emette delle vibrazioni molto belle, che permettono di modularne il timbro. Piacevole da suonare, leggero, è anche molto carino. Le difficoltà nell'accordatura durano solo pochi giorni, io lo suono da neanche una settimana e già noto la differenza: le corde si allentano sempre meno ed è molto facile riaccordarlo. Che dire? il prezzo è ottimo e segnalo che la tastiera, anche se è scritto che è in noce, a me sembra di palissandro.
