Essential
This is an amazing addition to a kit. I've added two of these pressure bandages to a basic trauma/odk along with Celox, Swat-t tourniquet, trauma shears/rescue hook, medical gloves, gauze, tape, etc. It is cheap enough that you can get one to open and practice with--don't worry about the wrinkly picture instructions on the package, it is vac-sealed so when you open it, you can easily flatten it out then for easy looking at. Also, don't freak out if you buy from Shy in Israel here and Amazon tells you its going to take forty or more days to get to the US. It takes about two weeks, he's awesome. Also, it has a massively long expiration date--no, it doesn't need one but you know government red tape, so as long as it remains vac-sealed, it will be fine. No, it doesn't have Celox or other clotting solution in it--that would give it an expiration date of about three years only--so if you want a clotting agent, get one to go with it. I recommend Celox because it doesn't have the negative effects of Quik Clot. These bandages are light, fit into kits easily, are waterproof, last hugely long, and give you the chance to save a life. And they are cheap. Awesome. Put these in your car kit, your main house kit, with your BOB, your commuter/workplace kit, and in your outdoor fun stuff (hunting, backpacking, you name it). Heck, put it in your animal/animals' kits. Be really responsible and do up a trauma kit to go with it. With long emergency response times, city budget cuts, personnel shortages, and the increase of violent people out there, being ready to take care of yourself or someone else could mean everything. So, in a nutshell, this is an essential part of your kits.

High quality and worth the money, proven in actual use
Actually had to use this on a recent camping trip due to a 3 inch deep puncture on patients thigh. It did a very good job of controlling bleeding and a nice wide surface area on the bandage to distribute the pressure and not constrict any tissue. Emergency room technicians were very impressed with the performance of the bandage and that we had the wherewithal to properly implement in such a remote location. The doctor who treated the wound attributed the bandage and its proper use to the expected positive outcome of the injury. This was confirmed weeks later when stitches were removed and again the attending physician attributed the successful healing and minimal scarring to the same. These bandages are not cheap but this is one area you do not want to skimp on when a situation arises where this type of bandage is needed. Very highly recommend this product. We now keep several of these in various places just in case. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

A must have for the family medic kit.
This is the last component that I've included in the family medic bag that we will start carrying with us on outings and especially camping trips. Designed for the battlefield, these are great bandages that can be quickly applied to a serious wound to apply pressure and help stop bleeding until further medical assistance can be reached. The bandage was designed so you don't need any safety pins, metal clasps, or even medical tape to secure it in place. Everything you need to keep the bandage on the wound and apply pressure is incorporated right into the bandage itself. Upon receiving it, my wife and I found some very helpful instructional videos online that help you understand how to apply the bandage correctly. Instructions are also printed on the packaging, but I recommend searching out the videos online because they really give you a clear picture on how to use these correctly. This is a great item to have in your kit and I highly recommend.

Solid product , After you win it's time to survive.
the only time I've actually had use with this product was in the military. I am now a retired veteran and have bought 2 of these without the need to use yet and hopefully ever. Which mean as far as the product inside this current pack is unknown until use in order to keep it at a sterile state. The packaging is excellent, it is vacuum tight and has an easy rip open 1-6 instruction steps for those not familiar. These wraps are crucial for certain wounds that can occur. If you are a gun enthusiast you should have one (w/ quick clot) if you hunt, and for ease of mind. If your family or friend is seriously bleeding out and no ambulance has ever been known to get to your location in less than 2 minutes you'd be doing better calling a priest. But with this compression wrap and some quick clot gauze you will increase your odds tremendously. Well that my soap box and I'm sure you can agree if you or your families life was on the line I'm sure you could mustard up $$$ to get some of the simple gear.

Medic!!
I haven't had to use one yet (thankfully), but I've had to train with similar products at my work. As far as I can tell this one is on par with the good quality ones I've seen before. It comes in a vacuum sealed package with a manufacture date (which was only a few months before I ordered) and an expiration date (5 years after manufacture). So these are not expired or nearly expired products, but will actually be good for several years. The Israeli military came out with these, but the US military uses these same type of compression bandages in many of their first aid kits too because they are effective and pretty simple to use. If you don't live near a hospital or will be a great distance away from medical care (e.g. camping, hiking) I would highly suggest having one of these (along with one of the Quickclot products) with you just in case the worst happens and you need to stop severe bleeding long enough for medial personnel to get to you (or you to them).

hope to never need to use it
It's hard to write a review for a medical emergency item - you generally don't use it until you need it. So being that I work in the medical field I am going to try and get permission to use one of these on a call. I'll come back and edit my review. From all the research I have done, it should work as a great pressure bandage, and I hope I never have to use it for what I intend. I purchased a few of these that I keep on an ankle strap along with a few other last resort medical emergency items. I intend to only use them on myself or family in the event of another theater shooting / boston bombing or whatever emergency. One of the most preventable killers in trauma is bleeding. If you can stop the bleeding and get someone to definitive medical care, their chances of survival are high. As far as the package goes, it is vacuum sealed, dark green. There are actually 2 wrappers - the green one you see, and another seal under it. I keep the vacuum seal on in order to keep the bandage fresh and clean. The outer package does have some visual cues on usage, but you really should watch a lot of videos on how to use them, and open one up and practice with it.

Never leave home without them.
Not for wound packing... If you need to do that i beleive you pack the wound cavity with normal gauze then youd apply this over the top.. Or not at all. Pretty sure if you wound pack with this it will cut off blood supply.. Not good.. Pretty handy thing if you habe alot of surface bleeding and need it stopped. Also FINALLY got to try super glue when i decided to try drilling the tip of my finger with a razor sharp forsner bit. (Thanks for keeping your tools sharp dad ;) Super glue works amazing. Zero sting.. Can form a kind of cast over the skin as well to prevent bumps and re opening. Also butterfly stitches.. F The hospital.. They just steal your money. And i dont care what you say. They arent hero's and theres no magic to it. They are doing their jobs.. Most of them are just soaking up a paycheck. Theres a few that carry the weight of the staff. Its scary how much misleading or blatently wrong info i hear there sometimes. I mostly blame our "educational" institutions. They are Cr*p these days.

Saved a Finger!
Have you ever cut off anyone's finger? I did. It was a landscaping accident. I was cutting hedges with gas powered hedge-trimmers and my best friend stuck her hand in from the other side in an attempt to pick up the clippings. I promptly amputated her finger. Fortunately, my first aid kit, which always contains several Israeli Battle Bandages was just a few paces away in my vehicle. I quickly applied the bandage which instantly stemmed the bleeding. The finger was still attached by just a small bit of skin and what (we later found out) was a blood vessel. The bone was fractured. After I bandaged her finger in place, we began the journey to seek professional medical assistance. We went first to two close-by walk-in "Emergency Care Clinics"--they were on the way to the hospital. Both clinics turned us away saying the wound was too severe--thereby increasing the time to professional care. Lesson learned. Finally, we made it to the emergency room. Once there, the physician removed the bandage. The bleeding had essentially stopped. (Total time from injury to hospital was 20 minutes.) Because of the bandage my best friends finger was re-attached and saved. The finger looks a little strange and is a bit stiff, but still functions quite well. Oh, that best friend....she's my wife. The bandage not only saved a finger, but probably a marriage; LOL. Money well spent indeed.

Did the job when I needed it!
You buy these hoping that you'll never need to use it. When I was first on the scene of a road accident and needed to treat a casualty with a severe head wound, I was fortunate to have this with me. The pack was easy to tear open, the bandage was easy to extract and unwrap while keeping the dressing sterile. It was easy to apply, the dressing was large enough to cover the wound and staunch the blood flow. The elastic scarf kept the dressing in place and provided suitable pressure. The fact that the vacuum shrunk pack is small and light makes it more likely that you will have slipped it into your pocked or backpack 'just in case'. I was glad that I had mine with me. Now I need to buy another one.

Looks great
These have PerSysMedical (r) symbol, and labelled with manufacturer: First Care Products, Israel. AFAICT are legit, and not a cheap knock-off. Shipped from Israel. I found buying them individually cheaper than the triple pack. I bought 3x1 and the triple pack. All six (6) of them were from the same lot, manufactured date 2020-03, expiry 2028-3, so still have 7 years left. All of them with good vacuum seals. All identical packaging. They have big flat end where you open them, that has a 3 tear here notches, on on the top, one on the left and right hand sides, so that it should be really quick and easy to open when needed. Hopefully, I'll never need to use these. They weigh 86-88g each. There dimensions are a little irregular, roughly 155x70x30mm, some parts a little wide or narrower by 5mm, based on the way they compressed as they got vacuumed.

Does what it says
These bandages I am sure work well and although it took s while to finally arrive it’s in the first aid kit to be used in an emergency as needed.
