Is there benefits to mixing it up after 50% colonization?

Absolutely! I usually do it sooner than 50%. More like 25-30%. Then the rest of the bag will colonize in as little as a week. Makes a tremendous difference in colonization time.

Are there instructions in the box?

I believe so... But TBH there are tons of videos on YouTube. It worked for me and it was my first time. I had zero experience.

Will these bags work for bulk casing methods?

Not ideal for that. The reason being, with bulk you want to do layers. Substrate over colonized substrate, and so on. I usually try and get about 3 layers of each. Your not gonna be able to do that with these bags. I suppose you could get about 50% colonized and then mix it up and lay it out. Like I said I wouldn’t recommend it. I have had better luck with these than any bulk sub. I have ever tried. They are especially easy to soak between flushes and they produce mass yield. Just inoculate and let it go.

Do we have to put the bag in a tray of water?

No you do not. There is enough water in the bag as long as the bag remains sealed during colonization.
