The only solution that works
I used the Type A repair tape to repair a bi-cast leather sofa that had a couple of tears in the seat cushion. So far it has been over two weeks and this tape has performed well with kids who sometimes step or jump on the seat cushion. Previously I had tried leather/vinyl repair kits with the liquid vinyl that you set with heat--those were terrible and never lasted more than a few days, plus they were very annoying to apply. This repair tape is awesome, and simple to apply. The adhesive is very strong, so I am not worried about the tape coming up at the corners or sides. If you visit the manufacturer's website, you will learn that the Type B repair tape is for vinyl only (because vinyl specifically contains oils that require a different adhesive), and the Type A repair tape is for everything else from fabrics to leathers, plastics, polyurethane, etc. Bi-cast leather has a polyurethane coating, so you want the Type A repair tape. The tape itself is clear with a matte finish, so depending on the surface, it is relatively "invisible". The adhesive is so strong that it can be difficult to separate the tape from the wax paper backing without marring the tape. After applying a couple of patches you develop a technique for applying the tape smoothly and neatly. I only regret that I did not buy this tape sooner and save myself the hassle from all of my previous failed repair attempts.

Great so far
I bought this tape as well as the sister product "B" to repair a rip in a pop up tent. The rip was about a foot long and right at the seam where the fabric, screen and vinyl window all came together right by the door. Now, one of these tapes is for vinyl and the other is for everything else so the problem was how to make them work in this situation. I managed to do it by overlapping the tape that works on everything else onto the tape that works on vinyl. As I'm writing this, I don't know which is which. What I do know is it has held and repaired a foot long tear. Because the tape is clear, it is not as ugly as it could be. It's not invisible, but it does the job in a apot that I thought would be impossible to fix. I'm very, very pleased with this product. Because it stretches once it is applied, it is holding and I believe it will hold for some time to come.

Good but expensive.
This stuff works great. I only take a star off for it's cost.

This stuff is the literal best
I have now bought my weight in these rolls and my only qualm is I wish they’d come in a longer roll. It’s expensive, but worth it. My best recommendation is to only peel a little at a time as you place it, because this stuff is hella sticky and will not let go of the fabric once it’s on. I used it to repair a comforter and it extended its life at least another year+. Technically it’s still working, although the edges were starting to curl a little and get dirty. But that was a daily use sort of thing. I’ve been using the stuff to repair the inside of a fur coat I rescued, too, and it’s brilliant. Although I recommend taping down the first with painters tape to keep it out of the way. Again, it adheres to everything. It’s super strong and flexible. I honestly think it’s as indestructible as the Nokia brick phone 😂 Definitely buy.

Excellent fabric tape
Very sticky! And clear. Have to handle carefully because it sticks to fingers and itself.

Tear Aid has many uses - and getting it by the roll is more cost effective.
I've use the Tear Aid Fabric Repair in countless applications over the years, and buying it by the roll and cutting to the size I need is the the most cost effective method. I have used this for both emergency or permanent canvas or cotton repair - whether it be for my clothing, backpacking and camping equipment. The key to making sure it sticks well to the fabric is how clean the fabric is to start. If it is not possible to clean the fabric first, like in the case of emergency or field repair, at least make sure the fabric is dry. If the fabric is dirty, and you don't have any masking tape, use a sacrificial piece of Tear aid to remove the dirt particles, then another piece to join or repair the fabric. Note this is not the best for cosmetics - if you really care about how it looks when you are done, although this is clear, you are going to see the repair. Plus, if your fingers aren't clean, the sticky side may get polluted and you'll see the fingerprints through the clear tape after installation. Bottom line is this is a great product if the fabric is clean and dry, and if applied correctly, it can last a long time. For less than ideal conditions, a little more care has to be taken and at least make sure the fabric is dry for best results. Thanks for reading.

Smaller size package offers more.
Personally I would by the single 12" pack rather than this large roll. Reason being you get two swabs, two small patches and a plastic filament that were not present in the larger option.

SAVED MY DAY/NITE AIR MATTRESS
I LIVE IN A SMALL ROOM AND USE A 20" HIGH AIR MATTRESS (DAY/NITE BED) 20+ HOURS A DAY. I HAVE REPLACED MY AIR MATTRESS SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO PIN HOLES THAT NO OTHER FIXES WORKED TO REMEDY. THIS TAPE REALLY WORKS AND HAS ALLOWED ME TO DELAY REPLACEMENT OF "NOT FOR DAILY USE" AIR BEDS. IT WORKS TO SOLVE THE ISSUE ONCE THE LEAK IS FOUND.
