TUOFENG 22 AWG Solid Wire Kit, 6 Colors, 30 ft Each

I bought 3 different size and two different core types. I use this wire for whatever I need that's related to small electronics, used it for GameCube modding, repairing traces, running low voltage for LEDs. Quality is great, it solders well and seems to be pretty good quality. The pack of different colors helps with projects as well.

Not much to say here. It’s wire, and it works. I’ve been using it for a few small electronics projects and breadboard setups, and it does exactly what you expect. The solid core holds its shape nicely, which is helpful when you’re routing things or trying to keep a setup neat. Having multiple colors is also a plus. Makes it easier to keep track of what’s what without second guessing connections later. Quality seems fine, no issues with stripping or breaks so far. Nothing fancy, just good, usable wire that gets the job done.

I bought this TUOFENG 22 AWG solid core wire to wire aftermarket lights on my truck, and overall it worked well for my needs. Connectivity: The wire provides solid, reliable connections and worked well for my lighting setup without any signal or power issues. Length: Each color comes with plenty of length, which is great for running multiple connections without worrying about running short. Utility: Very useful for general electrical and DIY projects. The different colors also make it easier to keep wiring organized and labeled. Soldering: It solders easily and holds connections well, which made my installation smoother and more secure. Durability: The insulation feels decent and holds up well during installation and normal use. Flexibility: Since it’s solid core, it’s not as flexible as stranded wire, but that’s expected. It works best for fixed installations rather than areas with movement. Overall, this is a solid choice for automotive and electronics work. It did exactly what I needed for my truck lighting project and I would use it again.

The wire itself is fine it's just your basic 22 gauge copper, but it's under tension on the spool, it basically explodes off of the spools when you unwrap them. The spools are a bit too small to deal with this, so it will turn into a tangled mess if you're not expecting it. I had to completely re-wind the first one I opened because it wrapped under itself. They also don't stay wound very well inside the box, so I imagine they'll tangle there too, but I'm sure you can find a solution for that, perhaps a different dispenser you can buy or 3D print or something.

I prefer using cloth wire on my guitars but this is a welcome change. Same rigidity, and a high heat tolerance so no melting at the ends. Update: This wire is a lot better than cloth wire for guitar electronics, and for the same money there’s so much more wire it doesn’t feel like I’m rationing it. The multiple color options are perfect for Les Paul wiring. Most importantly, I can solder a little bit hotter, for much cleaner, quicker - and much more enjoyable work.

I prefer the solid wire that this has. Those darn strands are so much trouble when soldering. This also great for wiring your ground on guitars.

I purchased the 6 color set of 22 awg solid core wire, and overall I am extremely happy with the product! These rolls of wire are WAY smaller than I thought they would be, though! For some silly reason I thought each spool would be the size of a 1 kilogram roll of 3d printing filament, which is like 8"/20cm in diameter. instead they are a little under 2.25"/5.5cm in diameter. This is my mistake though, as when I look more closely at the other reviews the spools are clearly pretty small. It works wonderfully though, so no complaints there! The 22 awg solid core wire is easy to solder, the insulation is easy enough to strip off, and the wire is also sturdy enough to go into a breadboard easily, but flexible enough to be maneuvered where you need it. I think my only concern is that the insulation seems to degrade pretty quickly if you apply too much heat when soldering. I do wish I had read the listing more carefully, because it does state that the wire uses PVC insulation. My worry with this is that when PVC catches fire, it releases deadly hydrogen chloride gas into the air. Obviously it would be difficult to get the insulation to combust accidentally when soldering, but I still would have much preferred a wire with silicone insulation rather than PVC. Overall I am extremely impressed by this product! Any problems that I had were due to my own failure to read the listing and reviews before purchasing. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for high quality, affordable wire for your electronics projects!
