As soon as they arrived though I realized that there was no way to position the charcoal bag where the actual smell was...inside the garbage..without literally throwing them in the trash. I could probably come up with some way to attach it to the lid of the can, but that was honestly too much work for my brain. My next thought was that I would just use this product in bins I was packing for winter/baby storage. It's an easy size to toss in once the bin is filled, about the size of a regular bean bag but lighter. I've never purchased a charcoal air freshener and I found myself constantly holding it up to my nose expecting it to off-put a pleasant smell like fragrant/perfumed air fresheners. It doesn't...which is exactly as advertised. It'll take some getting used to for me to realize that I'm not looking for a 'nice' smell, I'm actually hoping for no smell at all when I go back into the bins. I ended up putting one in my fridge because I happened to open it almost immediately after the package of these arrived and it occurred to me that I'm always annoyed at how the fridge smells. I've tried baking powder but I end up with a spilled mess and/or a clunky box taking up space. One of these bags fit nicely out of the way behind the butter dish and I forgot about it until today (3 days later). I opened the fridge and realized...no smell! Happy.
