Nice to have when doing property assessments
Iโve used this door pressure gauge about 30 times to date to measure both interior and exterior wood and metal doors during ADA surveys. Itโs an attention getter. People ask what it is and if they can try it. The assembly is sturdier expected. A case would be nice. Even when itโs in the backseat I can hear it rattling around when driving.

Everything You SHOULD Expect
The CRL Door Pressure Gauge performed perfectly. It's well designed, compact and so simple to use anyone using it for the first time should have no problems figuring out how to use it. The price was right and I'd recommend it to anyone who's trying to meet ADA compliance door pressure requirements.

Works as intended
I used this product to test the ADA for the push/pull requirements for doors. It works as described, nothing fancy it just works. set the rubber grommet to zero, push firmly against the push side of the door and grommet will slide to the pressure read out point. Then reset to zero and repeat. simple and easy.

Great for Keeping Doors in the Community ADA Handicapped Acessible
I keep one of these in my bag to use when I find a door in the community that is supposed to be handicapped accessible. It's great for being able to demonstrate how far over 5 lbs that door hinges have been calibrated.

Required by inspectors so that all doors in our new building opened at no more than 5lbs. Interestingly the inspector used the same gauge. I worked perfectly and we passed with flying colors, all 20+ doors.

Unsuitable for purpose
The device arrived with no packing or paperwork besides a large cardboard box. As far as I can tell, no instructions either. I cannot determine how to calibrate the device or verify if it is correctly calibrated. Therefore this device is useless to me.
