Used by W and F doors and a variety of other patio door manufacturers. From the Manufacturer This sliding door keeper is constructed of diecast and comes in a zinc plated finish. This keeper secures your patio door in the locked position. For use with vinyl styled patio doors. Mounting holes are space apart at 3-1/8 inches on center. Comes complete with hardware for a quick and easy installation. Review: Easy to mount but requires few spacers - The product is great and was relatively easy to install. The only problem is it requires few washers to set it properly for the door hook (or whatever the mechanism is that latches on the keeper) to latch on. First I installed it without the washers and the hook wouldn't latch on and then I added three washers each (please don't ask me about the thickness of the washers, whatever I found in my pile) and screwed it on and the door hook latched on and works nicely. The manufacturer should include few washers or other spacers to help with this as I am sure I am not the only one to face this issue. Hence my reason for the 3 stars.
