I had a Chapin 2.5 gallon sprayer for over 10 years. When the pump finally broke (my fault, actually), I replaced it with this one. I should have just bought a new pump for the old one. The issues:1. 3 gallons is too heavy to carry easily, especially on uneven terrain. It must be used with a flimsy shoulder strap (see No. 2) and that is very cumbersome.2. The pump handle does not lock securely. If one lifts the unit with the pump handle and puts even a slight counterclockwise twist on the lift, the handle will open, the tank will fall, and disaster.3. Most dangerous of all is that there is no pressure release on the tank. When one unscrews the pump handle with pressure remaining, you get a vertical whoosh of air and whatever you are spraying, directly in your face if you are looking down. The 2.5 gallon did NOT do this. It released pressure gradually with a slight twist of the handle. Not so for the 3.0.4. The spray wand, while lengthy, is flimsy. The entire sprayer is simply not as well made as its 2.5 gallon ancestor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Portable 3 gallon water sprayer *by S***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2017* I bought this for my husband for an after-surfing spray down. I thought we'd need to find a better shower nozzle, but he likes it just the way it is. We also take it with us camping. Water gets warm, but we haven't experienced it getting too hot. It's been great for the whole family- and the dog when we're not near showers.
