Used for reffing soccer. It took a little bit of getting used to when I first switched since I was used to either the wrist lanyard or the over the fingers knuckle grip whistles. The whistle is durable and is easy to use to get a clear sound from it. I recommend to anyone with one caveat. People with larger hands and fingers might find the finger grip is too small.

I work as a professional soccer referee, and my Valkeen whistle was stolen along with my gear bag. I needed a good whistle with 2 simultaneous tones to be able to be heard in high pressure, highly loud environments within stadiums. I was extremely impressed by the fact that this whistle came with a cushioned mouth guard, and the flip-grip feature that Molten brand is known for. This whistle is every bit as loud, effective, and functional as you could hope for in a whistle. Highly recommend.

Ok so you know this is a knockoff of a molten valkeen that costs 5x as much. In fact the pics in the description are lifted from legit valkeen pro optional pics.As a clone, the shape and sound are indistinguishable from the original. The metal plate has different writing. The plastic is shiny instead of matte. The original valkeen comes with excellent set of finger grips in three sizes. This one comes with a single finger grip that is too stiff and too small to be useful for me.So, an effective knockoff with grips not nearly as nice for a fraction of the cost. Having bought two valkeen (lost one) I didn’t feel bad about buying a knockoff as a spare.

Whistle is great.. design broadcasts sound away from user, better than expected. Finger hold is perfect.i use it for refereeing soccer

Good grip solo or with handle, loud outward sound away from your ears. Not a fox 40 or tornado that ring your ears.You can make the halftime time and end of game sounds just fine. Double sound and start game is overall a great whistle for the price. I would like to have the original but this one is second best.
