Toasted Marzipan by Bergen Marzipan

Updated 12/12/24: Ok it’s back to fresh and soft candy again. So I put the stars from 3 back to 5, next month it will most likely move back to 2 or 3. If you read the 1 star reviews, people are still buying rock hard stale candy. I’d be willing to pay more for a vacuumed sealed glass jar of their candy. Their problem seems to be the crappy cardboard box and clear plastic top along with a loose plastic wrap. Stale candy, again 10/26/24. It’s really a hit and miss with this company. Now it’s rock like again. Box says good until Feb, 6, 2025. No way it will make it to that date. They need to find a better packing and seal method. Maybe vacuum packing it? This candy is too expensive to keep buying it in a rock form. Old: First attempt had a cut box, but Thank You Amazon for refunding when they say no returns for candy. Updated 8/9/24: Normally this fresh and soft, one of my favorite candies. Arrived hard as a rock again. This time the Lid was NOT cut open! So no excuse. Unfortunately, I bought 2 boxes. These are so hard you’ll break a tooth. I'm finding if I put whole piece in mouth for a second or 2, it softens up and no stale taste. It came fully wrapped. Maybe the manufacturer isn’t wrapping fast as they should or it’s kept in a very low humidity storage. Quality control is garbage. Best but date is 12/16/24. Maybe if I buy right from the do and cut out the middleman. You know who. LOL Updated 10/3/24 Back to 5 stars! Just reordered again and it’s very soft and fresh. The company did respond to my neg review of rock hard candy and refunded my bad orders. So they do care and will fix the problems. I’ll be buying a lot more! This is the best! The new Pic shows I’m eating it quickly. LOL

So delicious, I ordered another box! I saw the mixed reviews about freshness/softness. But both my boxes were fresh and soft. And I love that there's no food coloring like the more common fruit-shaped marzipan candy has. The toasting is very light (sometimes I could taste the toasted flavor and other times not).

These are merely okay. They are not like the ones I had in Spain as a child: not as soft or flavorful/almondy.

I am not sure why they call this Marzipan as is hard like a brick and taste horrible. Very very disappointed. Will never try again. Horrible experience. They should change the name as it is not actually a Marzipan. Wasted money, went to garbage can.

This really tastes like very good marzipan.

I absolutely love Marzipan. Was so glad to find it on Amazon.
