Excellent tea
Excellent tea full of flavour

Perfect!
It’s impossible to find Irish Breakfast Tea in supermarkets in England (so much for a united kingdom!), so I was delighted to find this online. The flavour is perfect and the bags are large enough to cover several weeks of daily use. It’s a bit granular (I’d rather proper loose leaf), but when the flavour’s so good that’s only a minor criticism.

Makes good cuppa
Makes a wonderful cup of tea

A tea worth stopping for
We have very hard water & even using water that’s gone through the filter jug results in flavourless tea. Ive found that loose leaf tea is generally better. Normally buy Yorkshire Tea for hard water but couldn’t find any. This tea is very nice without a bitter after taste. Stands up well in our water & would recommend if you love a good cuppa! Will buy again. Bag will keep us going for a good while yet though!

So delicious!
I bought this tea because I read a review and I'm glad I did! It really is delicious. I look forward to my afternoon pick-me-up and trying other varieties of McEntee teas.

Great Taste
Much less than Irish tea from Fortnum and Mason and why not buy Irish tea from Ireland. Still the same taste.
User
Just ok
Its ok, nothing special and not very strong, unfortunately better Irish breakfast out there so won't be buying again..

Molto bene
Un ottimo the da tutti i giorni. Lo ricomprerò. Ottima qualità/prezzo. Un buon the forte da colazione.

Excellent thé du matin
Un vrai "builder's tea" qui teinte l'eau avant même qu'elle ne le touche. Fort et long. Sans amertume (du moins sous les 5 minutes d'infusion).

The Best. Give It a Try.
This is my favorite tea by far! I was puzzled when I first opened the bag and saw tiny particles instead of long pieces. They looked a little like coffee grounds, but definitely smelled of tea. It turns out this is CTC tea — cut pieces, which give a stronger, faster brew — rather than whole leaf. To my delight, CTC is ideal for a good, strong, malty brew. Much more flavor than whole leaf tea. Another benefit I love about CTC is that the leaves settle uniformly to the bottom after steeping and stirring, so I don’t have to use a strainer. I just wait three seconds and then pour slowly. I absolutely love not needing to clean a strainer! Now, I’m sure some will ask how CTC differs from what’s in tea bags. Speaking as someone who went through almost a case of Twining’s Irish Breakfast, tearing open each and every bag to create “looseleaf” tea after reading about plastics in paper teabags (I had always wondered why they didn’t compost; it was the plastics woven into the paper fabric; but I still had almost a full case of Twinings left to finish), I can tell you that CTC is nothing like what’s in tea bags. CTC is whole leaves that have been cut, whereas tea bags have a mixture of crumbled leaves, leaf dust, and leaf stems. I’m actually not against what is in tea bags, but CTC is so much better. And CTC compared to whole leaves gives a richer brew, a faster brew, and much less mess after brewing. (I tried two brands of whole leaf tea, too. Such a mess to clean up after each pot, definitely had to use a strainer.) CTC is the winner, by far. Now, on to the taste, look, and aroma: Wow, McEntee’s is amazing. I love the taste. Pure delight. I love seeing the rich, golden color pouring into my pre-warmed milk. I love the fresh, brisk smell as I raise my cup for that first sip. Ahh, morning bliss. It doesn’t get any better than this. For the best brew:1) Pre-warm your pot. I use a glass Pyrex 2-cup measuring cup instead of a teapot, and I pop it into my toaster oven to heat while I boil water in my electric kettle.2) Use heaping, rounded teaspoons, not level teaspoons, when you measure. A rounded teaspoon is what is shown on the packaging and in company videos. I put two rounded teaspoonfuls into my heated Pyrex cup, and pour in 1.5 Cups boiling water.3) Make sure your water is as hot as possible.4) Cover your pot as the tea steeps. This makes such a difference! I cover my Pyrex measuring cup with two tall, metal mixing bowls that stack into a double dome. I also place the whole thing on a silicone hot pad, to insulate from the bottom, because countertops suck down a lot of heat.5) Steep as long as you like. I prefer a nice strong cup of tea, so I set my timer for 10 minutes. If I’m in a rush, though, five minutes still makes a good cup of tea. You might prefer less or more.Alternatively, you can just boil your tea leaves in the water in a microwave. I know that’s heresy to a lot of folks, but it does produce a strong cup of tea.Economics: Unlike with bagged tea, you can get a decent second brewing out of your looseleaf tea leaves. It’s not as rich as the first brewing, but it makes excellent iced tea! This alone has made buying looseleaf tea more economical for me than teabags.Again, McEntee’s is my favorite. Other brands I tried are Davidson’s, Taylors, Twinings, and Yorkshire. They all were good, but I prefer McEntee’s. I read another recommendation for Barry’s, and may try that at some point.
