Pleatco PAP100-M4 Replacement Cartridge for Predator 100 - Pentair Clean and Clear 100 (), 1 Cartridge

I bought this 18 months ago and I am replacing it now. It worked perfectly. It is just to the point I cannot clean it well enough at this point, as it doubles in pressure within a couple of days if cleaning. I am replacing this with the less expensive version: the Pleatco PAP-100-4. It does not have the Microban feature, but I am not sure what that does, and I do not think it is worth $15. Oh, and the first one I received had a small hole in it. Inspect your filter carefully. Amazon replaced it without a problem. They have outstanding customer service.

Works great but would prefer white instead of blue.

When previously ordered, a Pleatco filter was received. In my most recent order (Sept. 2015) I received a Unicell filter in contrast to what was stated in the product description. Expecting it to be a comparable filter, I kept it. The Unicell part was grossly inferior to the Pleatco filter. The filter efficacy is so poor that I even notice debris coming from the return lines whenever the pump restarts. Even after a period of heavy pool use and cleaning where I would have expected the differential pressure to increase, it did not. I removed and closely inspected the filter and found no damage that would allow dirty water to bypass. Upon rinsing the filter I saw that normal hose spray pressure easily forced water through the filter material. BE CERTAIN TO AVOID THE UNICELL PART.

This filter for my pool, so far, has proven to be a terrific purchase. It was just a little over half the price of the same thing at my local chain pool supply store. The shipping was included with Amazon Prime and, it arrived in good shape. It fits like a charm, and now, 6 months later, it's still working just fine. I've cleaned it a few times and it shows no signs of tearing up, yet. So far, I can think of no complaints and only compliments.

This is a VERY high quality filter which is the perfect replacement for Pentair units. This filter is almost 1/2 the cost of purchasing the Pentair version locally at Pinch a Penny. I am a repeat customer of this filter (I change them out ~2x per year) and they do an excellent job filtering the pool with a high horsepower/high flow pump which really moves the water in my pool. Would definitely recommend their products to anyone looking to save money for an equal or superior quality product to Pentair.

Not the least expensive; however, it appears to be better made.

First time ordering this product. Received quickly and as advertised. AS Listed This is the blue "Microban" filter - it is not the white one shown in the photo! The only minor thing I noticed was that four pleats were stuck together, and slightly pushed out of alignment (towards the center opening) in the rubber molded end piece. This could be a Mfr's defect or my lack of knowledge with this particular product. In either case I don't see this as a problem, and I still saved $$ over the local pool store price. Basically I got this for less than the local stores "standard" filter 15% off sale price.

This filter is blue, not white as shown - and after installing it we have floating deposits of blue and copper colored oily matter! Something is weirdly wrong with this filter! We took it out, flushed the filter, drained the tub, tried again - and it's back, the floating oil. Never had this before with the prior white filters...
