Sterling Silver Box Chain Necklace 0.8mm Very Thin Nickel Free Italy Sizes 7-30 inch sizes

I have moderate metal allergies, and had a reaction to a "sterling silver" chain that was given to me. I wanted a delicate chain for my silver pendant that would not cause my skin to breakout, and this was a good contestant to the price. Having done some research on jewelry chains, I found that the wheat and box chains are the most durable chains for their size, and this one fit the bill (delicate and not too flashy, strong so I don't lose my pendant). The chain arrived quickly, and I was amazed at its high quality and how sparkly it is. It's very pretty and shiny, but not too bling-y due to its thin diameter, and complemented my pendant perfectly. Best of all, I wore it for a few days in a row, one of which my neck got slightly sweaty from bicycling, and it did not irritate my skin. Would definitely buy again from this seller if I need another silver chain.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this chain. I needed it for a small diamond pendant that had a broken chain. I live in a rural area where shopping for things like this isn't always convenient, and I needed it quickly because I wanted to wear the necklace for an upcoming event. After seeing the high prices on other websites I decided to check Amazon. I thought it couldn't possibly be of high quality for that price, but the reviews were good, and I looked up some of the technical information online and found it to be positive, so I figured I didn't have much to lose if it wasn't what I hoped. It came quickly, looked great, and has worn very well with no problems. I actually like it better than the original expensive chain that was on the necklace. I am extremely happy with it, and feel like it was a really great bargain.

This necklace, sized for a close fit around the neck, makes for a nice, subtle accent and works well regardless of what I'm wearing. I own several pendant necklaces, but those types of necklaces don't work with collared dress shirts because they aren't subtle enough or in the gym, where they get in the way when getting onto and off of a weightlifting bench. (If you go to the gym straight from somewhere where you need to be dressed, you either need to take such necklaces off or tuck them into your tank top or shirt.) Because it's so unobtrusive, I typically wear it to bed and often don't remember I'm wearing it. I don't wear it into the shower though (like I do my sterling silver earrings, for example), so I don't know if there are any ill effects from doing that. If I had to mention an issue, it's that the necklace occasionally turns so that the clasp ends up on the front-side of my neck, but the clasp looks presentable enough, so it's not a big deal.

I can't lie. I'm hard on my basic chains. They get stuck in my hair, they break, I forget to take it off during a workout(how I lost my last chain), a pet rips on one, etc. I also can't deny I've purchased this exact chain 3 times. Knowing that I'm incredibly hard on my basic box chain I wanted something relatively inexpensive because I know myself, I WILL break this chain at some point by doing something. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money, which I have done before, and regretted it immediately because then I'm out a lot of money on a chain I broke. This chain really fits the bill. I do think it is durable and my last one did last me almost a year. So when I did break it working out I didn't even blink ordering this chain again. I do wear this chain almost every day and I'm very bad about changing my necklace daily so I do sleep, shower, and workout in my chain so I want something that will hold up to my wear and tear of not taking it off. I like the look of this chain and it goes well with the usual pendants I wear with it. When I break this chain again, I'll definitely purchase this one again.

Great necklace! I purchased this as a gift and the recipient loved it! It is so inexpensive, but you would never think so by looking at it. Before buying this necklace, I shopped around and looked at various department and jewelry stores. The prices were extremely high and I couldn't think of a single reason as to why. There wasn't anything special about these expensive necklaces. Some of them weren't even shiny and had more of a dull and weathered look to them. Having no luck brought me to Amazon and I'm glad it did! This necklace is very shiny and really catches your attention. The chain doesn't feel cheap and I wasn't worried it would break. The person that I gifted it to still wears it after receiving it months ago. I'm really impressed and happy about the quality of this necklace!

I was really impressed with this chain, I had a chain that was not anything special and not sterling that fnally just got tangled and broke. I wanted something that looked a little nicer and that would not be quite so delicate. I was a little worried that this would be too fine and would tangle, but although it is dainty, it is strong and is of good quality. My pendant looks like a million bucks now and the price was under 10.00.... WHAT? Yes, you read that right. I received very fast shipping and the chain exceeded my expectations. I would definitely purchase chains from this vendor again. Good quality, a choice of lengths and quick service. Who could ask for more?

The chain itself is quite nice -- it's a shiny, smooth, sturdy silver chain. Makes a nice holder for a shiny silver pendant. But the clasp itself is tiny and flimsy. I've been having a hard time opening it, and keeping it open long enough to hook the other end through. I don't have this problem with other necklaces -- I think it's just that this clasp is cheap. For the price, I can't be too surprised, but it would have been nice if they'd charged an extra dollar and used a better clasp.

I ordered several chains to cover my most worn charms and pendants. I rotate the charms/pendants, so I don't need the exact same number of chains. However, I was having to change the charm/pendant way too often! In my first round of orders, I neglected to get a single 18-inch length because it isn't my favorite length. However, I found it is appropriate for certain charms and necklines. This very thin Italian box chain is quite nice. Delicate, but sturdy enough for my charms and I love nickel-free. I am very happy with this purchase. It is my second or third time ordering from Sabrina Silver and I highly recommend them!
