Bought for outdoor charging of cars primarily. Works well with a thermal cut out for safety. Ignore ill informed reviews on here that this item cuts out on them, it's supposed to if you dont unravel the whole cable. Simply unravel the whole cable and you can charge freely, the build up of heat if you dont brings the thermal cut out into play. I have found the item excellent in wet, cold and damp conditions as long as some effort is made to protect it such as putting it under the vehicle. It is IP rated but i would not just leave it in direct rainfall. Overall very good product and suitable for car charging out doors if that's your aim. Plenty of length, easy to rewind also and fairly lightweight. Good value for money.

Bought this to use with my portable electric vehicle 3kW charger. I "staycationed" at a location with not much in the way of public EV charging locally and my car was parked quite far from a mains power socket. This was really useful in getting power to my car. I was being quite precautious first time using this though... so I fully unwound it (even though I didn't need the entire length of cable - but recommended in this application) and only charged for 6 hours continuous a day, occasionally checking cable and plug temperatures which were recognisably warmer than normal but not remotely excessive. It's a good job I didn't need the car at all on this break as it took 5 days of what turned out to be 2.2kW 6-hour sessions to charge my car with an 84kWh battery from 10% to around 80%'ish...! But this extension cable did the job. A far cry from any public charger or even my home charger overnight... but as an emergency / slow charger... and not being near any wall sockets... this extension cable did a brilliant job. The cable and moulded plug is heavy duty and decent quality and the winder and casing is solid. I'm happy to recommend this for use with EV portable chargers but I would say definitely unwind ALL the cable, regardless of how much you need if you're charging an electric vehicle.

Overall quite good a product. -Good material used, NOT too easy to be broken. -The winding is smooth. -The water proof cap is tight enough. Suggested minor improvements: -The handle change from steep to parallel so as to make the weight more balance and comfort when holding it up. -Provide a cap for the plug. It is important to protect the plug when it is not plugged into the wall socket. -Make the cable and plug storage in a confined space rather than an open space when the cable is rewind into the space. This will provide more protection from dirt and water.

Used for camping. It is very well made and great value for money. Wanted a long extension lead to cope with our long garden and for camping in the caravan. Easy wind to store the lead. And I like the cover clicks over the plug socket. You can close up when you have plugged in your device, this is an extra protection when outside in the elements.

Cheaper than most but with exception quality. Nice long cable, easy to unwind, and light enough to carry around. The waterproof feature makes using it pressure washing the car a must have

This is an ideal replacement for my old cable reel with the added rain protection.

I have not used it as yet. But It looks every bit as good as I saw it to be. Hard wearing. And strong the best extension lead I have owned, by a long shot I am thinking. But of course time will tell. But I am thoroughly rooting for this to serve me well over the years Thanks. Regards.
