Ingenius Design and durable enough for rated use
I used 2 sets of these (a total of 8 casters) to move my empty hot tub! It works like a charm. I like to keep my hot tub in one place most of the year, but then when the snow hits I like to move it under the deck. Luckily it is all on the same concrete patio. I used 8 of these casters secured to the bottom wood frame of the tub and can easily move the entire thing by myself. The best part is they can stay installed because the tub actually sits on the concrete when these are retracted. At first I thought it would have been nice if the casters were assembled already, but in reality- you will have a heck of a time mounting them if everything is assembled. I found it much smoother to install the mounting plate first, then assemble the caster and lever parts after. This ensured a solid mount with easy access to the screw holes and much better angles for the drill! Only other tip would be to mount these about 1/16th higher than the specified height. When you get the package it has a template- I just didn't trim the edge of the template off (the side with the dashed line indicating to cut here) and it was the perfect height. Using the template as they describe will certainly work, but it leaves very little margin of error for the casters to retract fully. The extra 1/6th of an inch or so makes it so the wheels are definitely fully retracted and not supporting any weight at all. Awesome little project that saved me a ton of effort and time over moving my hot tub the usual way. Well built for their weight rating.

Excellent product, good value
I just installed these yesterday on my wife's gardening workbench. They work very well. Before buying them, I was concerned about how much effort/force it would take to bring the lever down that lifts each leg. But, after installing them, I found that it was reasonable. Engaging and disengaging the casters does not take that much effort. Two notes that I think are worth mentioning: (1) When you release a caster by lifting the lever up, you might want to consider simultaneously holding the table at that point while it lowers. Otherwise, for heavy items (my wife's workbench is one such item), it can slam down pretty quickly. May not be a problem for you -- it would depend on what you have on the bench. (2) One of the videos recommends NOT trimming the bottom of the template card off before using it. (It's about 3/16" or so). I agree with this recommendation (I also did not trim it.) By trimming it you bring the mounting bracket closer to the floor which will result in the caster lifting the bench higher when it is engaged. This results in the items on the table temporarily being subjected to more of an angle as you engage each caster. Depending on the stability of the items on the table, this could result in some things tipping over. Although I have only one day of experience, this appears to be a great product. Seems to be a better value than other retractable casters available - costs less and supports more weight. Also comes with two little wrenches to lock down the bolts and nuts included with the kit. All you need is a drill and a Phillips head screwdriver or power driver. These took me about an hour to install. Others have done it faster but I'm a bit of a fussbudget -- needed to understand things before proceeding (a blessing and a curse). The screw fasters on the bottom of each mounting bracket end up being pretty close to the floor and therefore a little challenging to install (assuming you have to install with the table/bench in place without inverting it). I wouldn't call it a "snap" to install but it was indeed quite straightforward. I would/will buy these again for other applications if they come up.

Pleasantly surprised, four Stars with a caveat
I will start out by saying that if I took every review to heart, I would never order anything! Such is the case with these casters. I have learned that many negative reviews are the result of buyer’s remorse or simply ignorance of how something should work. I built a heavy workbench using pressure-treated 4x4 with ¾” plywood top and shelf. These casters have worked extremely well in allowing me to move it around my garage despite the complaints of some reviewers. I will explain briefly how they should mount and some tips to make things easier. 1) First of all – buy the larger casters even if you think you don’t need them! They have more weight capacity and because the wheels are larger, they will roll over irregular surfaces or doorway transitions a lot easier. Why do things on the cheap and then wonder why it didn’t work out? 2) Throw away the screws that come with the casters! (That’s the caveat) They are not strong enough and are very short. I used 2-1/2” DeckMate screws. These things aren’t going anywhere. 3) Regarding the bolts that are supplied – I read a few complaints that they break when tightened and that it’s too hard to tell which bolt goes where. Well, since the brackets are stepped, it is a no-brainer to tell where the longer bolts go and where the shorter bolts go. If you are breaking the bolts when tightening, then you are OVER-tightening them! They shouldn’t be tight since the brackets have to pivot. They come with lock nuts; they aren’t going to fall off. 4) The supplied template worked great regarding the mounting height. Just remember, the bottom of the template is not the starting point, the line on the template is. If you are uncertain, try it on a scrap piece of wood first. 5) Casters are designed to be mounted on a VERTICLE surface! A few folks have whined that they didn’t work right after being mounted on something with slanted legs. There is no mystery here - vertical surfaces only – don’t be a doofus! 6) Lastly, I connected my casters with a step which makes things easier and more stable – one step raises each end of the table instead of having to step on all four casters. In summary, these things work great. Don’t cheap out, buy bigger. Throw out the Chinese screws that are included. You won’t be disappointed.

Quite Impressive how much these casters can bear
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Five Stars for SOLEJAZZ Workbench Caster Wheels! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Now my workbench moves smoother than my dance moves! As a weekend handyman wannabe, I've had my share of DIY adventures (and misadventures). When I bought the SOLEJAZZ Workbench Caster Wheels, I figured, "How hard can it be?" Let me tell you, these wheels are the best thing since sliced bread! I installed them on my absolute beast of a workbench (yet another project of mine and when building did not realize it would require a small Army to move), which weighs as much as a small car. I mean, it was the kind of heavy that makes you question every life decision leading up to owning it. But with these wheels? Moving that monster around my garage is now as easy as sliding a pat of butter across a hot pancake! The installation was a breeze (for the most part). I only had to re-read the instructions twice, and I only drilled one extra hole... in my workbench. (Totally intentional, obviously. It adds character!) Now, with a simple step on the levers, my workbench glides across the floor smoother than my dance moves after a couple of drinks. I even rolled it outside to show off to my neighbor, who was thoroughly impressed (or maybe just amused, hard to tell, but I am going to chalk it up to impressed). So, if you're a weekend warrior like me, these caster wheels are a game-changer. No more heavy lifting or awkward shuffling! Just pure, effortless mobility. I think I might put wheels on everything now. Dining table, couch, maybe even my bed... who knows? The possibilities are endless! Highly recommend these caster wheels, especially if you want to turn your workbench into a mobile fortress of creativity! Just be prepared for your friends and neighbors to wonder why you're wheeling your workbench around like a proud new parent. 😄 Bottom line: Buy these wheels. Your back will thank you, and your workbench will feel like it just hit the jackpot!

Excellent mobility solution for table-saw (and tool cabinet)
I do not have a dedicated workshop so I use my garage when working on home improvement projects. The largest and heaviest item I have is an old B&D table-saw which is invaluable when needed but is just taking up space in a corner >99% of the time. It has always been a struggle to drag the table-saw into a usable position or move it to accommodate larger items, for cleaning up sawdust etc. When I saw this SOLEJAZZ Workbench Caster kit 660 LBS Capacity advertised, I thought it worth trying out. I ordered the set on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday; I just spent a couple of hours installing and I am very pleased with the result. As can be seen in the attached photo, the legs of the table are irregular cross-section tubular alloy and are not vertical; so I was unsure how these casters would attach. I was able to secure each mounting bracket to a flat section of the legs using two of the provided screws which were strong enough to be self-tapped into holes I drilled in the metal legs. Raising and lowering the casters is simply done with foot pressure and I can now move the table-saw into position almost effortlessly and drop it down onto its feet for solid operation. The casters appear to be good quality, heavy duty items and should make my life easier for years to come. I am so pleased with this product that I have ordered a second set to be used on a tool cabinet which doubles as a work bench. Here I have the inverse situation, the cabinet is mounted on casters so it is easy to move around; but the casters are rickety, resulting in an unstable work-surface. I plan to put a solid wooden base under the cabinet and then add these retractable casters for mobility. Update: The second set I ordered arrived the next day .... How can one not be happy with this service. I now have both table saw and tool cabinet easily mobile when casters are down and firmly positioned when casters are retracted.

Works, but instructions lacking and must be vertical
As some have said, the instructions are lacking. Step-1: get all the parts. Syltep-2: put them together. Step-3: install. Here’s a few tips: flat side of the silver caster plate goes down towards floor. Long bolt goes through caster plate pivot (lower hole). Shorter bolt goes through lever pivot (upper hole). Tighten each down until just snug, but the caster plate and level still operate freely. It may be easier to mount to your workbench, cart, or machine without the actual caster wheel installed. It was difficult to get to the bottom mounting screws with the caster installed. The caster itself can be installed after mounting- there’s room. If you choose to use your own tools, you will need two 10mm wrenches and one 19mm wrench. But, you will have to use the supplied wrench when holding the caster shaft while tightening the 19mm lock nut. When installing the caster assembly on the work bench, it is important that the mounting plate is perpendicular to the floor. This will keep the caster plate parallel with the floor which allows the caster to swivel properly. As you can see, my application has them at an angle and therefore they don’t want to swivel. The mounting screws that come with the kit are low quality and the philips head will easily strip. Drill pilot holes and don’t use an impact driver. In fact, I suggest purchasing your own mounting screws for your particular application. The caster wheel are of relatively small diameter, so they have a tendency to get stuck on small items such as wood shavings and small debris. These retractable casters work, and they are fairly sturdy, but don’t expect miracles.

Kółka do stołu warsztatowego SOLEJAZZ
No cóż, to także późne odkrycie. Ciężki stół, do przesunięcia którego trzeba było użyć dużej siły, a teraz przesunięcie (przejechanie) kilkadziesiąt metrów po kostce brukowej to przyjemność. Polecam.
