Overall the DVD Player is small, lightweight, cheap and it works as expected to simply play DVD Movies. I installed it using the enclosed HDMI Cable between the player and the 2nd HDMI Port on the back of the TV. Overall, its a nice little unit and only time will tell how long it lasts. It has a MASTER physical power switch on the front of the DVD Player that must be enabled before the Power button on the remote will function. It appears to put the DVD Player into a standby mode using a little power. If you press the power button to the off position on the DVD Player, it appears to disable all power to the unit and the remote will not function at all. I suspect this was done to meet energy usage requirements demanded by various governments around the world. Overall, appears to be a good value at the moment. Time will tell if it really is. I think if it lives for 90 days or more beyond the common electronics devices infant mortality stage, it will probably work for a long time.

DVD Player arrived early and worked without any issues. I needed a region free DVD player for some older German and British DVDs I had collected while travelling the world courtesy of Uncle Sam. Menus executed flawlessly, options are available for many different formats and picture quality on 1080p screen was very nice. Smaller form factor of the player was also appreciated. Installation super easy...barely an inconvenience: 1. Plug in HDMI cable 2. If you are using HDMI cable ignore RCA cables enclosed in the box 3. Plug in DVD into power and attach HDMI cable to your AV receiver in an open input 4. Now switch AV receiver selector to that input and let the show begin! Spin-up of DVDs was quick for any region (tested region 2 and region 1). Quality playback, and upscaling was fine, especially for the older DVD in 4:3 format. Only took one star from the remote control rating because they did not include any batteries - most modern electronics do that nowadays so you can get started right out of the box. Overall great value if you just need an inexpensive, multiregional (region free) DVD player with remote and included HDMI cable...there is even a coaxial cable included for legacy devices.

I bought this to replace a Blu-Ray Sony DVD player that stopped reading all discs. I didn't need BluRay so I opted for this. It has some nice features like AB repeat, HDMI, easy menu prompts, and quiet operation. The case is really cheap looking and feeling, but it sits in an area where it isn't on full display. Good enough and great for the low price.

At this price I was nervous it wouldn't last a week! I put off the review for a while just to make sure. Turns out, it works just fine! (If that changes, I will come back to update my review.) It plays all my regular DVDs without issue. Remote works fine and has a lot of buttons on it I will probably never use because I have no clue what they are for, lol I have not tried to use the USB yet but will update when/of I do. I really only got this for DVDs because the TV in this room already had a USB interface that I always use. I just had no way to watch my movies on DVD. Please note: You have to press the power button in on the unit itself for the remote to use its power button. Not sure why they set it up like that, but they did, and it hasn't bothered me any. I just leave it pushed in most of the time. Picture quality has been fine on our 32 inch smart TV it's hooked up to. All in all it was worth the risk.

Nice little unit for is who still uses dvds. Easy hook up. Making the adjustments takes some time for viewing.

Everything worked fine out of the box. Now, after only very minimal use, maybe 10-11 movies later, the remote function is completely useless. And yes, the batteries in the remote are new and tested, and installed properly. Don’t know if the problem is the remote or the player itself, but without the remote, the player is pretty much useless because you can only access just very basic functions from the player’s buttons. Right now the player is stuck on some setting where the picture is very small, with huge closed captioning displayed, easily taking up 1/3 of the screen, and without the remote, I can’t change any settings. Of course it is too late for me to return the whole pile of junk for something that actually works, but you can heed my warning and don’t waste time, money and frustration like I did on this piece of cr#p!

When I first started using this DVD player, I was very happy. The price was right and it worked fantastic. Even with problematic DVDs that would not play well on other players. But it only lasted about 1.5 years. It just stopped turning on. And even when it would sort of turn on, it would not function. The front buttons nor the remote would make it work. I even tried unplugging it to "reset" it as many online suggested. But no go. It's in the trash and I pulled out my 10-15 year old DVD player and it works just fine.

Purchased this DVD to replace an old, and out dated one. That my father had, because the new TV would not work with the old DVD player. That didn't have a HDMI input. This unit did, and was easy to understand. That even my dad could understand to work it. It is compact and easy to load, and for a good price.

First off, I'd like to thank the manufacturer and Amazon Prime delivery service for the safe and speedy delivery of my new Foramor DVD player. The people at Foramor clearly take great pride in their products and provide excellent customer service. It is reassuring to see a company who really does their best to develop a rapport with its customers. Now... on to the product review: I purchased this DVD player to replace an old AKAI DVD player whose battery conked out on me after years of rigorous use. I basically needed a replacement DVD player that would provide crisp audio and sharp audio. And I'm happy to report that Foramor's DVD player fulfills all my needs. The player has a very simple design. It is easy to install and use. There is even an indicator on the player that shows where in the movie you are. This is a very useful feature that my old DVD player did not have. A note about the remote: For someone with poor concentration, who rewinds often to catch the details in a movie, I was relieved to see that the remote was durable and that all the buttons I often use were easily accessible and conveniently laid out on the face of the remote. The most-used button (for me, personally) is the "rewind" button and it is located at the far left end of the remote, making it easily accessible just by touch. The remote and I just clicked (pun intended). I just had to put in two fresh AAA batteries, and I was watching my DVDs in no time. Once again, thank you to Foramor for a superior product. If you are on the market for a new DVD player, I highly recommend that you give this DVD player your consideration. For the price point, you really get great value for your money. This is the one you want, folks!

Didn't like it at first, but it's great. Compact and noiseless. Perfect. Seamless. Plays everything. So glad I bought it! **** Aug 9th update: got a really nice Roxy music CD. Put it in the DVD player...load, load load... Then, nothing. Spit it back out, pretty much. It's stopped working. Doesn't play anything. Had one month. Can't send it back now. 😓 *** Feb 2022: I am playing David Bowie's last CD. So I guess it's working again. Won't play game CD-ROM I bought. Oh well. Bowie sounds awesome...It's fine. See pix.) (✿ ♡‿♡)
