After a decade of indoor gardening you get a good idea for which nutrients and supplements are worth the money and which are not. Hygrozyme is on my personal list of stuff that's worth it. Especially if you're running a Deep Water Culture system and/or find yourself in a summertime project where you can't keep your reservoir temperature as low as you'd like.My main use for Hygrozyme is preventative- I add it every time I change the solution in a reservoir. It helps to keep the root cuticle shedding and keeps roots bright, white and very healthy. I can stretch my reservoir changes out by another one or two weeks with no problems and I believe Hygrozyme has a lot to do with that.I understand Hygrozyme can be helpful when dealing with Root Rot but I haven't had to deal with Root Rot so I wouldn't know.PS: To help prevent root rot keep your reservoir cool (under 78F if you can) and make sure you are aerating your nutrient solution!
