Impressive printer
Impressive printer with a small footprint, this has replaced a black and white laser printer and a colour inkjet printer for all my printing needs. Cheaper replacement toner cartridges are available from 3rd party suppliers.. Not the fastest of printer but the output is good quality.. I use mine quite a bit for printing water slide decals applied on model cars using clear or white waterslide decal printer paper.. Have had mine for about 8 monts now and not one jam or misfeed !

I would not recommend the HP Colour Laser 150nw Printer to anyone
I would not recommend the HP Colour Laser 150nw Printer to anyone. It is a poorly designed and manufactured printer that is plagued with problems. The first problem I encountered was with setting up the printer. The instructions are unclear and incomplete, and I had to spend hours troubleshooting the setup process. Once I finally got the printer set up, I started to experience paper jams on a regular basis. The paper tray is also very flimsy and seems like it would be easily broken. The print quality is also disappointing. Text is generally good, but colour documents and photos look grainy and washed out. This is probably because the printer also has a very low resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, which is much lower than most other laser printers on the market. Another major problem with this printer is the high cost of the replacement toner cartridges. The toner cartridges seem to be very small and I don't think that they will last very long. After just 12 pages of black and white text (at approximately 5% coverage of an A4 page, as per the guidelines), my black toner dropped from 100% down to 90%!! Extrapolating out, the gives an approximate page yield of 120 pages (a far cry from the 1000 that is advertised). The printer does have a duplex feature (where it can print) double sided - BUT it is completely manual and therefore absolutely torturous to use. There are no on-screen instructions so you need to guess which way the paper needs to go back in from the output tray into the input tray again. A complete disaster. Good things? I guess that it is a good thing that it works with Apple AirPrint - so you can print straight from your iPhone or MacBook. But, unfortunately, that is about all I can think of. Overall, if you are looking for a colour laser printer, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere - either a higher end laser printer or a similar priced ink-jet printer (something with large ink cartridges designed for printing lots of documents such as an EcoTank). Here are some specific examples of the problems I have experienced with this printer: The paper tray is very flimsy and seems like it could be easily broken (not something that you would expect on a £200 product). The printer jams frequently, even when I am using the correct type of paper. The print quality is disappointing, especially for colour documents and photos. The toner cartridges are very small and don't last very long. The printer is slow to print, especially when printing from cold/sleep.

A decent basic laser printer for the price
The pictures that accompany this review are from a standard print of a RAW photograph from a Nikon D7500 on plain budget A4. I then zoom in to show what the pixel density is like. Bear in mind that Amazon reduce quality of images to save server space. The photograph when printed is quite good I needed a printer for occasional use and had to have a small footprint. This one ticked the right boxes for me. I didn’t want an ink jet as I would have had issues with the cartridges drying up and going to waste so the laser jet was an ideal choice and thankfully this one isn’t some desk monster. Being wireless I was able to put it onto a shelf in my study and it doesn’t get in the way. It can hold a few hundred sheets of paper and the print quality is pretty good for what it is. I have printed out photographs on A4 standard paper and they are quite clean and crisp. It doesn’t look like it will take anything less than A4, but I haven’t looked that much into it as I only need A4 prints. It initially I thought this was a simple cube, but you have to partially pull the paper tray out and this stays permanently stuck out. The wireless set up was a bit of a drag, not due to the printer but due to BT home hub. For some reason when I used the WPS button, my router was reset to a strange SSID and a password that was neither mine nor default. When I looked into it I found that it is a known issue with some BT hubs. I had to do a hard factory reset of the router. Once I was back up and running, I used the WPS option from within the web portal and I was connected. I haven’t used the HP software suite as quite frankly I don’t need it. Apparently, you can scan and print from their App, but I could do that with the default software on my phone which makes me think that it is a marketing con to make it look like the printer is also a scanner, which it isn’t. From Windows, I just use the native print options from within the package I am using. PDFs may need to be resized to fit page in the print options as they look like pictures to the printer and may be cut off on the edges. Bottom line: for a laser jet it is small, reasonably priced, has good basic functions and an acceptable plain paper print quality. EDIT. Paper tray can be closed back into the printer, but only when the tray is empty. Also check consumable prices. Original parts are very expensive. Lack of 3rd party supplies, but they are sure to follow

Best affordable Laser Printer
A great printer. Not suitable for photos on glossy paper but otherwise excellent quality prints and very sharp black text. Small footprint but good sized paper loading tray, A4 max. Best with genuine toner cartridges but compatible ones are available. Up to 1000 mixed colour prints from a set of toners - inkjets are cheaper to run but need maintenance and are slower - the HP laser just gets it done.

Good for small business
This was an upgrade for me from b&w HP laser printer. Connected quickly via mobile and print quality is good. Came with cartridges installed but didn't last. Less than 3 wks with nominal usage. Replacement cartridges are very expensive. Its slow on uptake from laptop/mobile to actual print and cannot cope with more than 1 job at time. Printing is slow too. Much slower than B&W laser from HP. If needing again, I would not chose this model as it cannot print card thicker than 230gsm, one of reasons I bought was to print my labels and tabs. Itll do for now. Purchased via the pay monthly thing so don't notice the payment too much.

Flimsy and fraught with issues, definitely one to avoid
This was bought for a small business and has given us nothing but problems. The one it replaced was a £39 cheap inkjet but that one was just in another class compared to this. Right from the start we had multiple issues with it. The setup was a nightmare, not intuitive at all, it was certainly not plug and play. We used a cable and didn't even bother with the wireless setup. The instructions were non existent and we had to go online to download drivers and instructions to get it to work. That was just the start. Since then we have had constant issues with major paper jams that are really difficult to clear. The paper gets screwed up inside the printer and just shreds when you try and get it out. We have tried different paper grades and still get the same issues. It won't take thin card at all. After a couple of months frustration it has now stopped feeding paper in altogether and just flags an error as soon as you press print. Toner cartridges ran out very quickly. When it decides to print it is very slow to start, the inkjet is just superior in every way. Build quality is flimsy and the paper tray is just horrible - cheap and nasty plastic that feels like it will snap every time you pull it out. Really really disappointed with it and have had to go back to an inkjet. We chose what we thought was a good reliable make and got a turkey! We hoped this would speed up things in our business and instead it has just caused more problems and wasted lots of our time. It is now going back for a repair as the return window has closed. We don't have any faith that even if it can be repaired it will actually be a functional item. Avoid this one.

Affordable home colour printer
Bought a Samsung several years ago. Worked great till one day boot up issues Looked around and found this Got it ordered and once unpacked realised it was identical to the Samsung only re badged HP. Even down to the toner its identical. So at least I have replacement stock when toner runs out Simple setup for WiFi or cat 5 or standard USB. Works great in home WiFi with all devices able to print including phones and tablets.
