I did a little internet research and determined that the easiest fix would be to replace the run capacitor. On my Pentair Superflo it is located in that "hump" on top of the motor. Local stores wanted up to $40 for a replacement. But I could have probably found one on the other side of town for something in the $20's. I knew this wasn't an emergency, although I did want to determine if this was the proper fix. So I ordered on Wednesday and received on Saturday. That's fast in my book and it wasn't Prime. I paid 14.99 w/free shipping from North America HVAC. It was slightly shorter than the original (orig was 3" L x 1 3/4 W) but fit the compartment just fine. So, turned the power on at the breaker (I take no chances with electricity) and flipped the timer power switch and VOILA! My pump started right up. It's so nice when you can do a little research, find the right product, get it fast at a good price, and it works.
