If you purchase a 10”x10” x 3/4”, your inside measurement will be 10” minus 2x3/4” (depth) or 1 1/2”= 8 1/2” x8 1/2” In other words, overall width less 2x depth which becomes your frame. **Q: can i use this one for mosaic using glass/ceramic tile? it will weigh some. also can i nail for hanging purpose with mosaic art on it?** A: I'm not sure exactly what kind of background you need for ceramic tile, but this is rigid and solid, & seems to me that it would work. it doesn't twist or bend. If you add a nail you need to do it before you add your tile. i use it for encaustic so I can carefully add a nail and wire after the piece is done, but I really should be doing it before I work on it.
