The top is slightly concave so it retains rainwater and needs to be dumped (so it doesn't grow mosquitos). So far satisfied it should last several years without rusting out. I purchased this to use on the deck with a tabletop grill/griddle. Its a heat-resistant surface and sturdy enough to make smash burgers on the griddle without fearing failure. The grill manufacturer (Ninja) has a plastic cart, but I don't trust plastic for countering smashburgers. I'll update if it completely rusts in less than a season or two (not in a salt spray area). Thats not necessarily a fault, but will help others who might want to use it outside. Pros: - Cheap. - Strong enough for one adult to sit on without wobbling or feeling like it will collapse. Sufficient to support most small cooking appliances. In fact it took longer to peel off the protective plastic than it did to assemble the table. The middle shelf had 2 small dents that did not affect use or function, so I let them know about it so that they might prevent such occurrences in the future. I told them twice that I did not want to return it or expect a refund, as the table functions just fine. Even so they refunded $30, so that was pretty cool of them.
