Fully refunded
My monitor stopped working after having it for three years and once they determined that it wasn't able to be fixed, I received a full refund in the form of a gift card for Amazon. I'm not certain if there was still time remaining for the monitor by BenQ, or if the refund was because of the Asurion insurance. Either way I'm glad I had Asurion.

Dell U2518D hit w/ Power Surge. Asurion just texted: repair is complete. En route back to me.
I only have one issue. It was difficult for me to find out how to make a claim and get the repair authorized. I don't believe any efforts were made to hide Asurion from me. All I needed was the Amazon order number. I purchased the monitor. Later, I purchased the Asurion warranty before the monitor arrived. Possibly even the same or next day. So, I was worried that Asurion would have an issue with that. They didn't. They only wanted me to prove that I purchased the warranty. You may even be able to purchase a product and buy the warranty right here on Amazon. I also noticed that right on Asurion's website, you can purchase a monthly warranty that covers all the electronics in your home. Just provided them with all the current products you own. You may need to provide online order #'s or receipts, not sure. But, they will cover all your home electronics, mobile electronics, work electronics, and auto electronics. They may even cover products that aren't traditional identified as electronics. So, I though this was really cool. They even have a page on Asurion showing you the average expense to fix a product without a warranty. Manufacturer's warranties can be a real headache to begin with. Shipping fees, either to them or back to you. Only covering parts but not labor. Or not covering labor for the whole time period, yet claiming a 5 year warranty, 1 year labor for instance. Asurion takes all the guesswork out of protecting the products you have come to depend upon. I was worried that there would be some stipulation that would make my repair not allowed due to some fine print regulation. That doesn't appear to be so. I haven't received the product back yet, but the text said the repair was finished, so that does confirm that it was repaired. So, I am very happy with the service I have received, pretty fast considering it was a power surge and usually products hit by a surge need almost all electronics replaced. I figured I would end up with a pro-rated gift card that wouldn't be enough to even get a 20" 720p monitor. So, I am very pleased with the customer service, pre-paid shipping both ways, communication was A+ (email + text), tech support is yet to be verified but I will update as needed (if you don't hear from me, that means it is fully repaired with no issues). Most warranty companies fix enough products to remain a company while pocketing all the money from products that never need service. The old adage that if you buy the warranty, you'll never use it and if you don't buy the warranty, you will need it, simply doesn't apply. I bought a Dell Monitor U2518D, I bought the warranty, and I used them both. Thank you Asurion and I won't hesitate to buy your warranty on future products I purchase. I may even get the warranty that covers all my electronics. It's only $30 a month. Some warranties on certain products are $500 to over a grand just for a tv. The warranty covers accidental on the monthly plan as well. I'm thinking about my iPhone here. Buying a new one is expensive without the upgrade pricing. Ouch. It's really got me thinking. Just might. I just might.

Disrupt protection plan was worth it.
I have to give you're company an excellent review. If it would have been 10 stars, you would have gotten 10. The monitor was a gift to my grandson. Who is in college in studying engineering? He needs his computer a lot thank you for your fast response, to this problem we had. Your process was excellent. Your response team was great in contacting me back. And in the end, the speed in giving me my refund gift card, it was awesome. Thank you guys for partnering with Amazon products protection plans. I will buy them every time I shop there. Keep up the good work.

Amazing if you're not in a rush
It was a little bit tricky to find a box big enough to ship a massive shredder in, but once I did the rest was easy. Took a few tries to get instructions for where to send but once I did they decided pretty quickly that it was R.I.P. shredder and time for a new one. Exceptional value and would recommend to anyone. Not ideal if you're in a massive hurry and can't wait, but if you can be patient I can't recommend this enough.

Took care of problem... But took some time
I sent in a printer due to an issue. I got one email stating they had received it and one stating the claim was still in progress however when I logged in, it stated item was unrepairable. I figured I would receive something stating such but over the next few days I did not. I then reached out and was told it was unrepairable. I was then escalated and a couple days later received a gift card. Overall I was made whole but the process took about a month and I had to be the one to reach ulout for the update. I would recommend, just keep on top of them.

I'm a believer and will continue to buy Asurion plans
I already left a review on the three-year plan and had forgotten I'd bought the 4-year plan. My 27" 2K A*** monitor died (backlight died on half) on a Tuesday. I looked up my Asurion plan, found it was still in effect, and sent them the necessary info. Since I got it through Amazon, they had full records on the purchase. They arranged for a next day UPS pickup (super easy). It arrived in NY on Thursday late. They sent me a not that they had the monitor on Friday and that they would tell me within 5 business days whether it would be refunded or repaired and returned. The next business day, Monday, they sent me a text and an email that they were refunding the full purchase price on an Amazon gift card, and the code was in my email within a couple of minutes. It went through at Amazon instantly. I found a better 4K monitor for $30 less at October Amazon Prime Days, bought another Asurion plan (and I will buy them with every expensive piece of electronics I get through Amazon from here out), and bought a set of small Basics speakers for just a few bucks more than the original purchase price of the old monitor. I took a chance on the Asurion plan, and I'm now a believer. My experience with them was as uncomplicated, prompt, and pleasant as it could be, and I couldn't be happier.

A Snare and a Delusion
Assurian seems to be worthless, and maybe a fraud. My HP Laserjet went haywire. The app thinks I’ve changed printers, the printer won’t accept the toner cartridges I purchased from Amazon, the printer now says my paper trays are empty (they aren’t), the Assurian website said I have to contact HP because I have a 6 month warranty, and HP says my warranty expired in January. 😵💫 When I tried to go back to Assurian, it doesn’t give me an option to provide an update. It just says I already filed a claim and was told to contact HP. I’ll never buy Assurian coverage again!
