Top quality Commonwealth Reed
Top quality, the best reed on the market in my opinion. This is the blue ribbon PLB reed which is well know to basketmakers. I prefer this reed because it is evenly milled and smooth. Both the round and the flat reeds by Commonwealth have been perfect to work with. Prompt shipping in 2 days makes it worth the price for me, since shipping costs with other sellers usually runs more than the reed. I will continue to order from Amazon for my basketry reed.

More (quantity) than I expected!
I got this for lantern building. I love how much material I got for one order! Granted, I my projects require much less material than a basket maker would. They're pretty brittle when dry, but I know basket makers soak them before working with them.

Commonwealths Basket Round Reed No. 3 is high quality, smooth reed and easy to work.
This is a high quality of weaving round, easy to work with and weave into projects. It is smooth and not hairy. Will be ordering again when I get close to running out.

Perfect for weaving
This was very affordable and easy to work with. This was my first time trying to weave anything and I’m glad this is what I started with. Now I have a million other ideas to use with this! Got it 3 days before it was to be delivered 👍

Waste of money!
Absolutely the WORST quality reed I have ever used. Turns very dark when soaked for over 1 minute, and becomes mushy in seconds, yet so brittle when dry it is nearly impossible to separate the strands without breaking them. Also, when I purchase #3 reed, I do not want 2.5 - 3. The size of the strands is very variable, not easy to find even 2 strands that are the same. I will never purchase from here again, would rather pay a bit more, and get the quality and size I need. Waste of money.
