Having read the reviews critical of the cover's sticking power, I carefully cleaned the surface and pressed it in place very meticulously. Took a bath and it worked great. Went to take a bath a couple days later, worked just fine again. Couple days later it had popped off and was sitting on the bottom of the tub. I pushed it back in place and took my bath and it worked fine. Couple days later, same thing: it had popped off, I put it back on and took my bath just fine. If I have to push it in place every time I take a bath, I don't think that's a big deal -- it cost less than 10 bucks, it works great at raising the water level, and its slim shape is perfect because it fits between two ridges on the tub that interfered with a larger, round cover. I gave it four stars because of the need to reattach it every few days, but it works great otherwise.

I bought this to cover my existing overflow plate which was damaged during removal of my old, rusted overflow/stopper setup. I'm not 100% sure my repair has the overflow pipe flush with the tub and obviously I don't want water leaking into wall behind my tub, so this seemed to be the ideal solution without spending a fortune. The suction holds just fine for an evening consisting of my little ones bath and my older kid's shower, but the cover typically falls off shortly after that. The hold only lasts for a couple hours. It's not a deal breaker to have to reattach it each evening before bath/shower time, but it's not ideal.

It works great! My overflow valve prevents me from taking baths where I’m fully submerged until now. Totally recommend.

Perfect, I got it a little wet before sticking the suction cups on, and the seal is perfect and has stayed on since I got it almost a week ago. It just stays there always. I don't really take it off. My bath water barely covered me where my overflow drain sits, so I wanted something that would let me take a REAL bath. This was perfect. I easily got 4 or 5 more inches of depth, and I couldn't be happier. Cheap and perfect.

This is exactly what I was looking for no hassle no mess no uninstalling specific tub vent. Just throw it over the cap suction cup it in and a way you go. This is absolutely perfect and add a highly economical price. does the job perfectly

Bought a second one to use in 2nd tub. Seals well, suction works, but is not permanent. Have to re-apply every use as it falls off overnight. No big deal. Softer material than others. Had an older clear one which was thicker material, but that seemed to harden and discolor over time.

It is collapsible to fit multiple types of overflows..... a bit finicky to get to stick, but it does suction. Used it a handful of times and have had no issues. Came quicker than expected, however, came in an opened package.

I have a clawfoot tub and this does cover the overflow drain somewhat but does not fit at the top very well as the space between the overflow drain and the tub mounted taps is to narrow for the squared top of the unit.

I have an oblong overflow and was worried about the fit but it was perfect !
