Nice, older kit
This was the beginning of a rabbit hole project for me - but still a nice kit on its own.

Old but good
A few directions a bit screwy but other than that easy to understand. Completed kit looks good of a good looking fighter.

Item not factory sealed
Item arrived very quickly. Outer box not factory sealed though. one piece of scotch tape holding the top of the box on one side only. Looks like I got a returned item. Inner bag holding the sprues is intact. Brief check looks like parts and instructions are there. Decal sheet looks good. The instructions are actually 2 sets of instructions, 1 for an A-7E (US Navy), and 1 for an A-7D (Air Force). They look pretty straightforward. Decals for 3 configurations are included. 1 for USN VF-82, 1 for USN VA-15, and 1 for USAF 4450th TG. The latter is a camouflaged version of the A-7 and given that I have 4 Navy Phantoms to build, I'll probably do the USAF version. The Sprues look relatively clean and free of flash. I took a star off for receiving a returned kit, but I'm looking forward to building this after my current project.

A Surprisingly Great-Looking Airplane
Hasegawa kits take some effort, but I think they're the best jet aircraft models around. The Corsair II was hardly an elegant jet with it's snubby nose and gaping air intake, but with the wingtips in the "Up" position and the various avionics bays open for detailing, this kit builds into a pretty spectacular display. Only complaints would be that the panel lines take a good bit of work to bring out. and beyond the two air-to-air missiles you have to add your own ordnance if you want to take advantage of the numerous weapons pylons. For all that effort, however, you'll have a pretty great looking model.
