I have owned this fan for a few years and have been very happy with it, so when I needed to buy an additional fan for my home I immediately repurchased this one. The Pros I have noted: Very sturdy base but at the same time is also very lightweight and easy to move around if needed. Puts out great airflow. Fairly quiet (but I enjoy the fan noise when sleeping, so it's not silent, but quiet if that makes sense). It's also very easy to disassemble the fan grills and blade and such to give it a good cleaning from time to time. Fans I've had in the past made that disassembly a fairly onerous task (not so with this fan). Having a remote was not a selling feature when I initially bought my first fan, but it does come in handy and functions well. Can't really think of a con. I'm a fan!

So far the fan is fine; moves air and responds to the IR control well enough. It is a little loud, but I do not think there is a solution for that. The base is stable and cost to performance is excellent. I was able to assemble it in less than 5 minutes. However, it will not work with an Amazon smart plug. In my experience Lasko fans are durable, and I expect 5 or more years of service. Cheers!

Purchased this fan as I prefer the old school sounding fan vs the new ones that you can’t hear. Appearance is nice, material is similar to others, 3 power levels which is great. Someone posted its was making a noise and I wasn’t sure if they just preferred the quieter fans, but after assembling ours, there is a noise that these fans normally don’t have. I think it’s from vibration in the telescoping pole, and or the plastic base it sits in. It is too heavy, so that could play into it as well. Still deciding if I should return. I will try it a few days. Over all it’s nice fan.

I love this fan. It's exactly what I was looking for. I need a fan when I sleep at night so all the options for "silent fans" was making think I would never find one for me. Well this fan not only has the perfect amount of noise (I keep it at level 2) it also keeps my entire bedroom nice and cool. Assembly was super easy and straightforward. No issues. The fan is also pretty light so it's easy to pick up and move. I noticed reviews mentioning broken or damaged parts. I didn't have that issue. I checked the entire fan when I unboxed it and there's not even a scuff anywhere on it. It was packaged very securely but maybe I was just lucky not getting any defects. I would recommend this fan. The included remote is nice though I did have to get batteries for it. Not a big deal I need batteries anyway lol I think it's priced right for the quality fan you're getting. I'm hoping it's very long lasting and durable because it's perfect for me!

We really like this fan. It works good and it has plenty of fan noise. It is definitely not a quiet fan but we didn't want a quiet one. If you need quiet this this one is not for you. It is sturdy and easy & quick to assemble. The air output is really good. Low is not a soft low but one that iwi move the wire for sure. We run it in low mostly. The switch has a green light that show what fan speed it’s on. The green light is bright at night so a piece of painters tape fixed that for us. We had a fan by this brand previously and it last a very long time (5+ years) with no issues until it finally died. So we went back with this brand again.

I purchased the "used like new" option for a small discount to the original price. Upon inspecting for parts, I noticed that the remote is missing to control the fan from bed, etc. Not a deal breaker but assuming this being a returned item which was discounted as the box looked opened-- I personally figured these items would be inspected for any defects or missing parts STANDARD. Anyhow, lesson learned to not purchase anything aside "new". The fan works fine, it is as expected and offers a solid and smooth hum for those looking for some background noise while sleeping. I read reviews of some feeling this fan runs too loudly, depending on your needs, I suppose? I personally need this "box fan" level sound offered in a pedestal style. It works out well in the corner of my bedroom, out of the way pushing smooth air.
