Substantial Improvement
This product is a substantial improvement over standard white silicone thread tape. Much thicker and formulated to work on stainless steel threads. While pricey if you want a drip free junction the first time this product is ideal. I used standard white silicone tape on 1" stainless steel to 1" brass fittings. Drips could not be stopped. After ordering and installing the High Density tape. Problem solved.

Used on auto engine oil pan plug to stop it from leaking. Worked great

Used for dissimilar Metal connections.
Used on a water filtration system to connect/seal some stainless steel flexible tubing to a UV filter. No leaks over the past 2 years.

High quality PTFE tape but read my review
I bought this to seal a leak problem on some stainless steel threads. It didn't work well because it wanted to slip as the connections were screwed together and tightened. Water leaked "under" the tape and I had to go back to regular PTFE (the white, thinner tape) and pipe dope to eventually stop the leak on the stainless steel male threads. Maybe it was pilot error on my part, but this tape did not work well for my application. I give it 4 stars because it is made very well and I am sure does a good job when presented the right application.

This stuff is fantastic
I needed to seal a thread in oil fitting on my DURAMAX Which starts up at over 100 psi, I tried putty, E6000, all types of Teflon tape still dripped. Bought this stuff so far dry! It’s actually hard to tear! Now that’s tuff tape!

Works well!
I used regular Teflon tape on some stainless threaded pipe for compressed air lines and the joints all leaked. Redid the joints with this tape and no leaks!!!
