Thousand Foot Krutch ~ Phenomenon Review: Thousand Foot Krutch 4 life - Arrived in good condition Review: ROX! - This CD gets my blood pumping! My favorite tracks are 1-5, especially the title track "Phenomenon", and "Rawkfist". The latter has a bit of a rap vibe to it, as does "Bounce", another one that I like. All the songs are good, but some of them I had to listen to a few times before I liked them. But not the first 5. An underlying Christian message, but not obvious. I gave it to my stepbrother, just telling him they were a metal band, not Christian, so that he would actually listen to it. You have to listen a few times before you hear it, but it's there. So you can listen to it with your kids in the car, no guilt. If you like to listen to hard, loud rock but don't like cringing at negative or profane lyrics, PICK IT UP.

Good Sophomore Release
I've been listening to TFK in reverse (somewhat). A friend of mine introduced me to the third CD and I really liked the fourth. I know that bands evolve so I was afraid to check out this CD, but it's more of the same good stuff! Sure, sure it's not nearly as polished as CDs 3 and 4, but I really enjoy it. Also, bonus - I recommend this and any TFK CD if you happen to want to rock out without having to worry about dirty lyrics or content. That's hard to find nowadays. But also don't worry that it's cheesy, uber-Christian praise music in rock form - because it's not.

glad to have bought it
the title song is great. you can hear on the cd how tfk was likely influenced by other groups along the way, but these songs are still theirs. rawkfist might seem corny but it's great too. fun video if you find it anywhere. they seem to have fun performing it, and it comes through on that song.

Why do you think its called "Phenomenon?"
Wow! thats all I can say about this cd is just wow. This is an awesome rock cd. I really liked every single song. Even "This is a Call," the one slow song on the album, was really good. I think Rawkfist is probably my favorite, all though I like them all alot. If you want great music to rock out to, and to be able to understand the words, buy "Phenomenon" by Thousand Foot Krutch.

Phenomenon is an appropriate title
While not their first record, this is the album that put TFK on the map. Hits like "Rawkfist" and "Bounce" still make you want to rock out, but there is still the soulful, emotional track "This Is A Call" to add dimensions. Truly a "Phenomenon".

Thousand Foot = How far they are from the top.
After buying this CD in pure hopes of finding a new band to listen too, I was somewhat dissapointed. Being a main listener of secular bands, but also haveing a small foundation in christian bands (ie: Switchfoot, RK, Kutless, Pillar, Pax 217, Grits, Third Day, etc) I would give this a 3.5 or 4 out of 5 stars when it comes to CHRISTIAN rock. However, when comparing this album to the full rock scene, it sits around a 2, MAYBE a 3, star record. In the christian scene it doesn't even contest to the likes of Kutless and Pillar, which are both decent rock groups; Switchfoot being a GREAT band. If you are looking for an OK christian group, and have Pillars', Switchfoot's and Kutless's albums, then go ahead and purchase this (Pillar has a new cd coming June 15th, by the way). You should deeply enjoy it. However, if you are looking for GOOD rock, secular or christian regardless, look elsewhere. May I recommend Thrice, Edgewater, Revis, Pillar, Switchfoot, POD, Incubus, Linkin Park, GodSmack, etc... I could go on forever with secular and christian bands to pick over this one. If you are a secular listener looking to get into the christian rock scene, take a look into the following: Switchfoot: "A Beautiful Letdown" and "Learning to Breathe" Pillar: "Fireproof" and their upcoming album Kutless: "Kutless" < Their better album, in my oppinion. Relient K: "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right... but three do." ^Great Album, much better then their previous one "The Anatomy of Tongue and Cheek," but that is also worthwhile to look into. Along with MxPx, they are the only punk band to show any life. Pax217: "Engage" This album will suite some tastes, but others will hate it. Check out the previews before you look into buying it. "A.M" is the best song on the album. MxPx: Lots of albums, some christian, some not. Look into a few of them if you want. FM Static: I believe they have RK's lead vocalist in this group, I may be wrong though. An ok sound, download "Crazy Mary" to check them out. Christian Rap: I have fallen waaayy out of the rap scene that I used to be obsessed with, however Grits seems to be the way to go. Look into their album "The Art of Translation." Half decent rap for any listener, secular or christian. Well, I could go on a lot longer but my word count is getting up there. Figure out what category you're in and make your decision. Later, Brian

du bruit, du bruit, pas de mélodie, rien qui accroche, il n'y a pas grand chose à dire, chacun ses goûts mais honnêtement ce groupe et cet album sont insipides....
