Nice little case - make sure you use the 3V pin!
I bought this after having first got the official case in a kit; my Pi got so hot it slagged the SD card and I had to get a new one. Having done so, I looked for cooling cases and found this one, and I'm glad I did. This case: - Screws together rather than just fitting loosely, so I'm not so worried about moving my Pi around - Looks better alongside my other AV equipment - Cools the Pi down by ~12C compared to running it caseless I'm grateful to the other reviewer who mentioned using the correct pins for the fan. When I first assembled this, the fan made an annoying whine. After I switched from a 5V pin to the 3V one, the fan is whisper-quiet.

I wouldn't usually get excited over a case...
First of all, delivery was quick, as you'd expect from Prime delivery. Going onto the actual case: quite simply, I'm very impressed. It's the attention to the small details that won me over. You get the rubber feet for the case; 5 (1 extra) screws to mount the fan; 5 (1 extra) screws to mount the Raspberry Pi to the actual case and a tiny magnetic screwdriver. This was a lot more than I got with the official Raspberry Pi case. It's well made, nice and smooth and looks good. Temperature: down to possibly the most important part. My Raspberry Pi 4 Model B used to idle between 60ยฐ-70ยฐ, depending on load. Now? It's down to a rock solid 40ยฐ. I already had heatsinks installed, but it's nice to have spares. Fan: the only thing that lets down this great value case is unfortunately the fan. Perhaps I didn't get lucky, but even when setting the red power cable to the 3v3 pin, it's audible when in operation - even when standing next to it. I use mine plugged into my router, so it's not a big deal, but I think it would annoy me if I was in the same room as it for prolonged periods of time. Minor improvement: as someone else said, the addition of the pin layout and which pins to connect to in the form of a leaflet or something would have been ideal. I had to look these up separately.

Amazing case!
Very compact and sleek case. Very easy to put together and the instructions were clear. Got the fan to work very easily too. The only issue is the dust accumulation overtime. Cleaning it regularly is important. Can say for sure that it protects the pi and keeps it from getting hot. One negative aspect was the location of the sd card insertion. When itโs inside the case, itโs very difficult to insert and remove the sd card so I always took the pi out before inserting or removing.

Great case.
Great case for my Pi4. the fan keeps the toast CPU nice and cool - the magnetic top is fantastic for removability. Highly recommend, still use it to this day - my first and last Pi4 case.

Very impressed!
I'm really impressed with this little case. My Pi4 was running very hot at around 61C in the Official case, but now I've switched it to this case - it's idling at just below 40C. The fan makes so little noise I barely notice it even when standing next to the Pi - it's definitely quiet! That said, if you planned to sleep 1m away from it, I expect the whirring would be annoying - it's not completely silent and I wasn't expecting it to be! The case was easier to put together than I feared from the instructions requiring just screwing the fan to the lid, and the Pi board to the bottom plate. Now that it's all put together, it looks nice. A bit chunkier than the original case, and a bit more serious looking. I opted for the black version and it looks nice and understated next to my router. My only minor negative comments are: 1. I had to come back to Amazon to read where others had put the fan's power cables. I expect they don't include this instruction as some knowledge is expected for Pi owners, some users might want to do different things with the fan, and it's possible the GPIO port layouts could change. All understandable, but as there is a small instruction pamphlet, adding a suggestion for where to connect the fan would be useful for those without knowledge of the pins. 2. The lid doesn't make much of a click or any other feedback to let you know it's secured - I thought it wasn't going on properly at first - but then realised it was on firmly! Very happy so far with the 33% reduction in heat in the Pi - whether that's due to the fan or the better ventilation in the case!

Lovely house for my raspberry pi
my raspberry pi loves this :D, its a good quality case and reduces the temperature enough. I run this 24/7 with some services on my Pi and it hasn't skipped a beat. its also real easy to setup. Would recommend for pi owners.

More useful than thought!
This product for a start is definitely great value for money it keeps the Raspberry Pi protected and keeps from overheating and the temperature getting high it did not affect the Performance of the Pi and the noise was a minimal plus it fit perfectly.

Good, if a little buzzy.
Quite pleased with this. Previous reviews seemed very mixed on the fan. Some said it was loud and they could hear it in the next room when others said it's almost silent. My experience is somewhat in-between, it does make a low-level buzz (even on the 'quiet' 3v mode) that is audible from across the room, but it's so weak that it gets drowned out completely the moment you have any sort of audio playing. So I'd recommend the case for a desktop, media or retro gaming box. But probably not for something like a Pi-hole that's going to be running in a silent room 24/7. Quality-wise it's a nice looking case, the board screws in so it's very solid and doesn't rattle about once put together. The buzzy little fan works well, keeping the CPU at 36.0c during an OS install. Was very easy to put everything together, heat sinks were all the right size and didn't require any cutting of thermal tape.
