This motherboard is great. I only have one fairly minor complaint
So far, This motherboard is great. I only have one fairly minor complaint. The USB 3.0 connection is right next to the main power connection for the montherboard. It's so close, that the wire my case (Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3) came with to connect the front USB 3.0 ports doesn't fit, because it is slightly wider than the pins. I forced it, and eventually got it to work, although I really don't recommend doing this, it's not a good permanent solution. I might be getting a new case anyway, but this problem really shouldn't exist. I'm impressed with the BIOS and it's ease of use. I'm running an i5-4690k, and without much effort at all, am overclocking to about 4 GHz. As an added bonus, it looks pretty cool. I really like the blue-on-black design.

as my first lga1150 mobo, it is working perfectly ...
as my first lga1150 mobo, it is working perfectly i've installed 2x4GB Crucial Ballistix Sport1066 and my old 2x2GB1066 ram (cant remember the brand of this one) and they were perfectly compatible keep in mind, the thing is HUGE and the right side does not come with any kind of support, so be careful when installing the ram and the power connector I've improvised some support using some plastic parts I found from and old electronic device while scavenging at the IT department, there's a photo so you can get the idea what I'm talking about Update June 23: I don't know whats going on with the onboard audio but front panel connectors are not working, back connectors works fine, but, sometimes the sound is loud sometimes not, speaker fill for 5.1 does not seems to work at all, sound with headphones is low too. Running Windows 8.1 x64 all drivers are updated all windows update everything, can't wait for may sound blaster card to arrive to have a nice sound set up again

Good replacement for a dead Asrock board.
Good fix for a dead computer. Drop it in and connect everything and go. It automatically reloaded drivers and re-authenticated Windows and Office Software since it was a different motherboard manufacturer this time. One struggle was getting the audio to work. Front panel audio is it for now. I am not certain what settings to change to make the rear ones work. Better start looking at the owner's manual now. :) I did have to change the bios to get the boot order right to smooth out the startup. (Maybe I changed the order of the SATA cables when reinstalling the mobo.) Two different Asrock motherboards have failed me. I hope this MSI unit lives past the three year warranty. There were no stand-offs or screws included, but since it was to replace a board, I had them already. I liked the quick start install sheet, made the connections clearly marked. Tried a bit of the overclocking - lots of adjustments, but also the overclock genie does help make it simple.

Nice inexpensive board for those who don't want to upgrade to an LGA 1151 socket just yet.
This board has everything we need and then some. I would suggest looking at a 1151 socket board though as they're about the same price now and the 1151 CPU's are more powerful. Back to this board though, it is perfect for what we needed especially as we had some DDR3 on hand that was unused but matched this board perfectly. No problems at all with this board.

Great economy motherboard featuring all the latest technology.
This was purchased for a build for my 15 year old Grandson who is an avid gamer and goes on line socially with all or his school friends. The fact that it has a PCI Express slot was my primary reason for this choice along with the capability to add up to 32 GB of DRAM memory. Installing the CPU requires caution and to remove a plastic shield before adding the CPU cooling fan. The instruction manual is very well presented in several languages and easy to follow. Just take your time and be careful and you will be rewarded with a very good build.

Works for ONE DAY and craps out on you. BUY A BETTER BOARD
I bought this motherboard while building a custom PC for a friend specifically for their photo and video editing classes/hobbies. Everything was running great once built, two days before their class started. Perfect amount of time for them to get their programs ready, right? NOPE. A day later the PC would not turn on so I took it in to see what was going on. Almost a week later (after his classes had started) I get a call telling me that my motherboard is bad. I had them put in an ASUS micro ATX and it works FLAWLESSLY now. I couldn't believe the short amount of time this thing lasted, I am utterly disappointed. Happily sending this back today. The repair shop told me about how MSI is known for making crap motherboards, I'll definitely remember that in the future.

2 years later, board still great
Purchased this board in late August or early September, 2015. First board dead after only a couple of weeks. Seems like lately these things have been hit or miss. RMA process was painless thanks to Amazon however the 2nd, replacement board arrived looking like it had been slightly used. Overall, currently very happy with quality, price and the BIOS options are actually pretty nice. edit, 2 years later: 2nd PCIe slot is 8x, not 16x as advertised (z97). Latest firmware update broke RAID5.

Budget board that just works!
One of the least expensive Z97 motherboards released that supports Broadwell CPUs and overclocking. Slap in a Fry's special CPU and you have instantly upgraded your older system--if you were already running DDR3, an ATX case, and a standard ATX power supply. There's no need for a Haswell compatible power supply either. My 500W 80+ PC Power & Cooling PSU from 2009 wakes up fine from sleep mode in Windows 10 and Centos 7 (systemctl suspend). Emailed MSI as to how to enable the C6/C7 power sipping states and they stated they have those settings disabled in BIOS by default. A few weeks later, ended up flashing to their latest BIOS 2016-02-22 (4.B) and the C6 and C7 powersaving options are listed in the Overclocking\CPU Features page. Running an i3-4170 now and plan to upgrade to one of those Broadwells when prices drop in the future. Dual boots fine between Centos 7 and Windows 10.

Good quality board
Good quality board. Very straight forward setup. Only needed the instructions to insert the hdd led, reset and power switches etc... into their proper pins. Maybe it's standard, but it had been awhile since I built a PC. First time using a mouse enabled BIOS which was great. Unfortunately this was the last piece to arrive for my new PC so everything was put on hold for an extra 2 weeks, but that's obviously no fault of the seller or the manufacturer.
