Why doesn’t it dissolve in hot water? Did I get a wrong batch?

This is not actual tea but spices you add to tea. It dissolves but some of the spices don't necessarily remain in a dissolved state and will settle to the bottom. It is intended to flavor tea, the same way that you might add cinnamon to cocoa and the cinnamon will float on top, or nutmeg to eggnog and the nutmeg will partly dissolve and partly settle to the bottom.

Is this dairy free? suitable for vegans?

Does this contain any sugar?

Hello and thank you for your question! Our Chai Masala blend does not contain any sugar.

What are recommended proportions of product (tsp or tbsp) and water (cups)? I am having issues getting a good taste.

From the spicewalla web page, they recommend 2 cups milk, 2 cups water, 2 tbsps black tea, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 tsp Masla Chia Spice. So, roughly 1/4 tsp per cup of prepared tea. I like a spicier tea, so I'll do about 3/4 tsp per cup, and I find that works really well for me. It's probably a good idea to experiment a bit, and see what amount works for you.
