Inexpensive Whole House Filter
Inexpensive filter for basic whole house filtration, and lasts us in southern Indiana for about a month before changing. Does what it advertises, and does a great job removing sediment and minerals. I like especially that it is not a polypropaline-wound filter too, as in my experience they disintegrate over time and the particles wash downstream into your home. I would recommend to others!

Poor quality
I bought one of these, and a similarly priced Hydronix to try in my boat desalinator. The Hydronix looks a lot more rugged, and appeared to hold up well to cleaning with a soft brush and reuse. The Pentair deformed in use and clogged way more quickly. Despite the description on Amazon the Pentair looks like cheap paper, so I won't clean and reuse. The Hydronix is by far the better buy.
