Saved my Hair
Let me tell you how this wonderful mask saved my hair and saved me some major embarrassment on a Vegas trip. Note: even good stylists can make mistakes or forget to warn you about potential interactions between treatments. I am naturally a medium/dark brunette but had been getting balayage highlights for years so my hair was almond blonde. I decided to go back to brunette with caramel highlights. My stylist darkened my hair to a medium brunette which was a little lighter than I wanted but it looked fine. The next day I came back for the highlights and keratin treatment and when I left the salon I noticed my hair was even lighter and had a red hue and the highlights looked orange. I knew after the keratin I couldn’t wash for 3 days and couldn’t color for 2 weeks so I thought I would just wait and see what it looked like after I washed my hair, which happened to be the day my husband and I left for a Vegas weekend. After much research I realized that keratin treatments can lift your hair color and mine tends to pull red/orange, oops, I wish my stylist had thought of this and she left a couple days after my treatment for vacation. I ordered this product and a green conditioner to try and temporarily remedy the situation, and after washing on Friday morning my hair had not improved so I tried the green conditioner first to remove the red hue. To my horror, it tinted my hair green. It’s not supposed to do that. I then washed my hair twice with a clarifying sulfate shampoo (not good for keratin but I was desperate) and it didn’t really help. With just a few hours before our flight, I decided to try this product in Coco because I knew it had pigments of yellow, green, and red which would hopefully cover and balance out the green. I sectioned my damp hair and left on for 15 minutes and rinsed. Immediately better but my roots still looked a little orange so I did a shadow root technique, left on for another 15 minute, and rinsed. Omg. My hair looks so much better, smelled nice, and was soft and shiny. My husband, who had seen the green hair and was very skeptical when I told him I could fix it, was shocked when he got home. He loved the color and so did I. It was a tad darker than I expected but still looked very nice and it has been lightening up very slightly with each wash and still looks great. I even had a stranger come up to me in Vegas and compliment my hair color and say she is going back to brunette from blonde and is trying to achieve my exact color. I told her my secret. Anyway, to summarize: this product smells nice, is quick and easy to use, fades nicely, made my hair soft, and gave me a beautiful chocolate brown that my hairdresser couldn’t. Before and after attached.

Color depositing mask
I love how this added so much richness to my hair color. It’s so easy to use. I just washed my hair and applied this carefully throughout my hair for 10 minutes and washed it off. My hair looks shiny and vibrant. I got a lot of compliments. It smells good as well. It’s a good way to test a color before making it permanent. I didn’t experience any negative skin reactions. It’s a good value for the money.

The color is bright
The color is bright & my hair feels soft. It does somewhat fade a little too fast for my liking but I do like this product more compare to others on the market.

Good but not great !
The Moroccanoil Color Depositing Mask deposits a great amount of color into the hair and delivers noticeable results quickly. It’s important to note that this product is not meant to cover gray hair, but it works really well for refreshing or enhancing existing color. Be careful when rinsing, as it can stain hands and surfaces (gloves are a good idea). The color holds up surprisingly well through multiple washes, and my hair still feels soft and conditioned after use. Overall, its a great product for maintaining color between salon visits.

This product should be a staple if you have red hair✨
I love this color depositing conditioner for extending the life of my hair color in between treatments! My hair is blonde but the grays are really getting aggressive, so once a month I use a blonde dye to cover roots, followed by a toning mix of rose gold. To keep the color from fading, I use the Morrocan Oil color conditioners in “coral” and “rose gold”. They keep my color vibrant while also deeply conditioning my hair to prevent breakage. After shampooing, I work this conditioner into my hair from root to tip, then go sit in the sauna for 10 minutes before rinsing in cool water. I’ve been using this brand for four years and it’s never let me down❤️

Pretty good, but not great
I've been using this for a few months now and there are some pros and cons. Pros: -My hair is very soft, shiny and healthy -It's not super expensive compared to other brands or going to the salon for permanent color -The rose gold color is super pretty when it takes Cons: -It works on 80% of my lightened hair, but doesn't show at all on my light blonde outgrowth/virgin hair. Even though my outgrowth and color treated hair is the same shade now, this color does not deposit well AT ALL on virgin hair. -It doesn't deposit evenly, even with precise application. I don't particularly mind this because the Rose Gold color sort of looks like multi-tonal highlights (sort of), but when I used the Hibiscus color it just looked like a poorly done dye job. -I have to use A LOT to get a decent amount of color. I have pretty thick collar bone length hair, but I get about 2.5 full applications depending on the container. Some that I've gotten are super runny, while others have the consistency of a normal conditioner. I also have to use this for every single wash, you can't really skip applications and use a normal conditioner. This requires near constant upkeep. -The color fades between washes. I do what I can to avoid washing my hair, but even without hot tools or a lot of sun exposure, this color fades a lot between washing. Overall, it can't be that bad because I keep using it. My hair is a streaky rose gold on the ends, but when it's wavy it looks like a decent ombre. I have low standards I guess, and I hate going to the salon all the time and/or committing to a permanent color, so I'll just stick with this because it works okay.

Best conditioner I've ever used - mediocre color results. Cannot live without it
I like to dye my hair. It's a different color almost monthly. I never bleach, I just put on whatever color I'm in the mood for. I have mostly dark brown hair with dramatic streaks of white. It takes dye well. However, sometimes just a little TOO well, and then my hair looks more like a clown wig, and less like the multi-faceted results I like. So, I bought this to tone things down, and to stretch out the time between coloring. It absolutely takes my brighter colors down a notch - love it!! However, I'm not sure I'd be happy with the results if I were looking to amp up my regular color. It does tone down my drama-white streaks, but definitely doesn't cover them. What really sold me though, was the amazing conditioning. I've never, in all my decades, experienced conditioning results like these. I put this on towel-dried hair for ~20 minutes while I putter around, and then rinse. I have the softest, shiniest, bounciest hair I've ever had in my entire life! I look like a hair commercial! As someone with thin, fine, straw-like hair with a greasy scalp - it's hard to find products that don't weigh down my poor hair. I didn't expect much, but I also don't begrudge experimentation. Wow was I impressed!! I would use this if it didn't deposit an ounce of color. In short - I wish it deposited a bit more color, and I wish the color lasted longer, but I am not willing to live without the incredible conditioning. I use it 1-2x a week - the results typically last 2-3 washes. With my scalp producing the oil it does, I usually have to wash daily, but with this I'm now occasionally able to go a day without.

Easy and fun!
This is a review of both the rose gold and hibiscus colors. I have salt and pepper hair that is significantly silver and do not color my hair. I know it is said in many places that this does not cover gray hair. I was not trying to cover gray hair solidly and entirely to make it look as if I did not have gray hair, but was hoping for some fun pink highlights and decided to give it a try. I figured if you can't dye your hair a fun pink color when working remotely in the middle of a pandemic, when can you? I first purchased the trial size packet of rose gold. A lot of reviews mentioned that this packet was not enough for their hair and they needed two packets, so I bought two. However, with hair that goes past my shoulders a bit, I found one packet to be just fine. The one thing that struck me with rose gold was the scent. The perfume smell was totally overwhelming. It was not an unpleasant smell, except in how strong it was. In fact, I noticed that smell in my hair for at least two weeks, even though I was washing it, there always seemed to be some of that smell left behind. The instructions say to leave it on for about 5 to 7 minutes. Based on reviews I decided to leave it on for about 15 minutes. Instructions say to separate your hair into different sections and be really meticulous about application. I couldn't be bothered with that and honestly treated it like hair conditioner. I showered first and washed my hair, towel dried it, and then applied the mask to damp hair the way I would use conditioner, trying to make sure I coated all sections of my hair reasonably equally. When I went back into the shower to rinse it out, there was significant pink color in the run-off water, but it did not stain the bathtub nor my hands. It made my hair look like a bronzy/brown pink that was very subtle, and I felt I could probably even get away with it in my conservative job. It definitely looked more pink in brighter light and sunshine. The photo with my face blacked out is the rose gold color. I wash my hair about every 3 days since it is very dry, and I could still see it in my hair, even though it was much more faint, after at least 6 washes. Most people who saw my hair complimented me on my purple or lavender hair. Almost no one identified it as being pink, which is fine by me since I would have purchased it in purple if this brand had it. I really liked the color very much, but wanted to try the Hibiscus to see if I could get more punch to the pink color. I then ordered the trial size packet of hibiscus. I applied at the same way as the rose gold and left it on about 25 minutes. I noticed the scent was much less on the hibiscus than rose gold and not overwhelming. I really like how this one came out - see the photo with my hand over my face. it is definitely a much brighter color of pink, and I love how the highlighting changes and is much more interesting with the different contrast of my silver hair versus some of the darker areas. After the first 3 washes it did start to fade, although even after about 8 washes you could still see a slight lavender color, especially out in the sun. The one thing that really surprised me though about hibiscus is that it stained my hands, unlike rose gold. Since rose gold did not stain my hands, it did not occur to me to wear gloves. I ended up having to use an old trick from beet juice on my hands, which was sea salt and lemon juice scrub, to get that crime scene look off my hands, but I still had some pink in between my fingers and around my fingernails for a day. It did not stay in the bathtub, and I was concerned that it might rub off on my white pillowcase, but it also did not stain anything. Some reviews have mentioned how their hair felt really dried out from it, but I find it really moisturizing and I have dry hair. I like very much how it felt and looked after using the mask, and I have since purchased the large tube of hibiscus and colored it again. It's definitely a fun change, and I like that it is not something permanent that I am stuck with. The Hibiscus did seem to linger for a long time, even very faintly, so if you're looking for something that will be completely gone, I'm not sure how long that would take, depending on how porous your hair is.
