TANNER HEAVY

I chose this version after comparing several options and I am very satisfied with the decision. The build quality is excellent and the weighted claw base keeps it stable so it does not tip over during practice. Height adjustment is smooth and works well for my 7 year old Little Leaguer as well as adults which makes it very versatile. It is more expensive than some other tees but the durability and positive reviews convinced me and I can see it lasting for years. My son enjoys practicing with it and I highly recommend it for serious training. One small note is that the base is heavy so be careful when moving it around especially near kids feet.

I've always bought cheap tees in the past for my son, but now him and I are playing men's softball together and we wanted something better. The Tanner Tee came recommended from fellow players, internet reviews, etc., so I grabbed this open box "Heavy" tee for a good price. After only 2 days of use, we love it - simple to setup, holds both baseballs & softballs, decent height adjustment, and the heavy base is great (don't be afraid to mis-hit - it won't bother this tee). Build quality seems high - I'm hoping it lasts a long time; and eventually, after the rubber tee wears out, it is simple to replace. Note - if your 6'+, and you like to hit balls at shoulder level, you'll probably need to place the tee on a stool or something (we use a wagon which also holds our hitting balls).

I coach several year round baseball teams in rec league through tournament ball and Little League tournaments. Our kids train all year - including batting practice 2 times per week in the off season. I put more balls on tees and see more swings than the average guy. I’ve used a number of different tees including the original Tanner. No question that the heavy Tanner is the best I’ve ever used. Great for smooth surfaces during indoor practice as well as for grass outfield warmups before games. I debated this one versus all of the others on the market and considered purchasing a shorter one from another company as well as the junior from Tanner. My youngest son is 7 years old and 48” tall. He uses it as well as the older kids up to 12U. No issues with adults using as well. Don’t worry about portability. Comes apart in 20 seconds and lays flat for transport. No need for extra weights and the screw-in column isn’t an issue. It takes no time at all. No need for gimmicky magnets, etc. Best tee I’ve ever seen or used. Definitely worth the few extra $$. This thing will last a lifetime and won’t tip over. Great design.

This magical contraption has transformed my swing from that of a flailing walrus to a graceful, majestic swan. Well, maybe not that graceful, but you get the idea. It's like the Tanner Batting Tee has some kind of mystical aura around it. Every time I step up to it, I can practically hear the angels singing and feel the baseball gods cheering me on. I've even given it a name – "Tee-rannosaurus Rex" – because it's the king of all tees, and my hits have become as mighty as a T-Rex's roar! My son's little league team can't believe their eyes. The moment I start using my Tanner Batting Tee, the whole field falls silent, and you can hear a pin drop. Okay, maybe not a pin, but definitely some gasps of amazement. The other kids are probably thinking, "Who is this baseball wizard, and where did he come from?" I've become the talk of the town, and every time I walk past other parents, I hear whispers like, "There goes the Tee-rific hitter!" and "Do you think he's available to give batting lessons?" My ego is loving every moment of it, and I've even started practicing my home run trot just in case. But here's the best part – I've become a parenting hero too! Other parents now look at me with admiration and envy, probably wondering how they can get their hands on a Tanner Batting Tee and turn their kid into a baseball prodigy like me. I've even started thinking of marketing my secret to baseball success. Step one: Get yourself a Tanner Batting Tee. Step two: Rule the little league world. Step three: Profit (literally and figuratively). I could be the Tony Stark of little league baseball! I'd originally purchased a collapsible tee for backyard practice, thinking that portability would be a benefit. I ended up constantly having to brace the thing with bags of sand/mulch/whatever I had around, because one errant hit would sent it somersaulting across the lawn. Went back to the drawing board and ponied up for a Tanner tee, like they have at the training facility his team uses, and we absolutely love it. Super high quality, sturdy as all get out. This tee will last ages.

I had an old fully rubber tee that would constantly get knocked down by my 8 year olds and finally the part that held the tee cracked so decided it was time to replace. Went to a batting cage this weekend and they all had these tanner tees. Quality is evident from the second you set it up and feel how heavy it is. The rolled top is great because it should stop it from cracking the way the rubber one did. I’m building a batting cage in my basement and if it’s good enough for a commercial cage, should be more than enough for my personal one. Kids used for a while today and it performed flawlessly. Buy once, cry once.

The best and the most reliable baseball tee in the world. I've used all kinds of tees but Tanner heavy tee with claw base works on all surfaces and all terrain. Absolutely rock solid lock up between the base and shaft. Hand rolled tee top is great for players to feel the baseball. Also the tee top is replaceable if needed to be (top plastic and rolled rubber parts sold separately if needed to be replaced) even though its a bit pricey. Wish they only sold the rubber part to be replaced but it is what it is. Absolute bang of purchase.

This is our 2nd tanners tee of this style. Our first one is 3 years old and still in excellent shape! Purchased an additional one for our team’s tee hitting drills (rep youth ball). Worth the investment since it doesn’t tip or get knocked over if the player hits any part of the rubberized neck. Excellent tee!
