If you are doubting this product like I was initially then read the reviews. I would recommend this!
I am first off going to clarify that I am using this product for an exercise alternative (for now). So what I mean is I live in United Kingdom and with the winter coming the weather is getting a lot more colder and typically wetter too. So going out to exercise, which is what I normally do is starting to become a struggle to keep up now. To rundown the story mode of the game the “Adventure Mode”. It is very good. Very immersive. The joy-cons pick up the movement very well to make the game feel that bit more better. Also with the variety of levels. 20 worlds with a total of 100 levels! The story just goes on and on. The games story mode also features 4 different difficulties. I am currently using the 2nd hardest difficulty. To give me a challenge, which thats what it specifies when choosing the difficulty level. Even though I am taking my time. Enjoying the game and replaying the same level sometimes up to three more times after finishing it just so I can work up a sweat while also looking around and taking in the games brilliant colours and flowing game. I actually to be honest when buying this game. Even for its price I wasn’t expecting much. This game has blown me away. Well worth it. Especially to keep fit no matter the weather. I use RingFit Adventure mainly for the exercise, so I use the mini games section of the game a lot too. The amount of exercises and sets that they have to offer are quite surprising actually. There are many to chose from. Even down to the minor detail of exercises that suit the part of the body that you would want to use it for. You can even make custom exercise routines designed for you, or however you want. With the option to save up to three custom sets. The exercises in the mini games section of the game also have 2 different difficulties. So once you get used to Causal, you could test yourself and then it up to hardcore! A cool feature (while I think it is) is that you can even set alarms to go off on you’re Nintendo system to alert you to when it would be the best time to exercise next or you can even set your own schedule. With a 7 day planner. It even lets you select an exact time so if you wanted to narrow it down a bit more you can. I think personally for what the product offers. If you would be using it for exercise then it does work up a real sweat. I use it two maybe three times a day. Depending what happens for me in the day. Exercising for now between 30 minutes to an hour each session. It is tiring by the end of the day. Another thing as well is I also like the tracking feature to the game as well. The game tracks you’re daily stats like calories burned, minutes working out. And even down to how many exact amount of each exercise you have done in that day. It even lets you track day by day stats to compare as well. Also it keeps a record of how many of each exercise you do all together and sets you challenges to complete a specific amount of total exercises, so then it rewards titles for you’re profile on the game. It is very motivating to see how much I did in a day, each day and overall as well. Short rundown: I would definitely recommend this for the exercise and fitness side of the game. The game is very motivational in itself. It brings you back again and again. And also it keeps you wanting to go on and on until you are out of energy. But also you can’t forget the games bright colours and flow to the game. It can make for quite a relaxing game as well. If you don’t want to push yourself and go on the harder difficulty levels. 5 stars!

No you can't break it, yes it's fun and will get you fit
Long-term boxing fitness player here. I run around 25k per week and wanted something to do upper body that didn't involve expensive gym fees and the hassle of getting changed etc. Boxing served a purpose, mainly for me stretching and getting my arms working, and 4 months in I decided to try ring fit. Initial impressions were that this started development on the Wii, but it took a very long time to make it to market and hence here we are on the switch. It makes sense, this would have taken an incredible amount of testing and refinement. Once the rather silly story part is done and you get cracking, I'm surprised to say the workout is really rather good. I had to stick with it, the first two weeks didn't really engross me that much, but once the RPG elements, music, skill tree and power ups (smoothies) were introduced it really scratched my gamer itch. I've always said that gaming doesn't actually achieve anything - you play for hours, finish a game, watch an invariably pants cutscene and it's over. Job done. Net gain is zero, just entertained for however many hours. This is different. I get the game buzz, but am constantly achieving something. The entire game is based around resistance training with the use of the ring, and core workouts to strengthen your body as a whole. Making a smoothie? You'll have to compress the ring for that. Navigating the stage selection screen? Turn the ring to move. Jumping over a gap? You'll have to squeeze and hold. And all the while it's burning calories and giving you a workout. Once I was hooked, I'm now doing it in-between runs. I select a mixture of workouts, which you're forced to almost due to the different enemy types. And currently the Russian twist and boat pose are my go-to for battle and abs/core workout. To put things in to perspective, yesterday I did 90mins and was aching after. This morning I am a wreck. And that's on difficulty level 22. This is changeable as well. You can also change the jogging on the spot for the traversal levels, so that it's quiet and less impactful on the floor (or neighbours). Nice touch. Currently at level 92 I'm a little concerned it'll all be over soon enough, having to revert to the rather dull sets, making it more of a chore. But I'm hoping there will be some replay value, extension or DLC on its way. Overall Nintendo has really done it, a fun game with enough depth and a great workout. And no I've tried as hard as I can and I cannot break the ring, just make sure the joycons are charged, as they vibrate lots so run out quicker than you'd expect.

Great fitness game that gets a sweat
Not gonna lie, am an overweight nerd who wants to get fit and I'm somebody who finds the gym gets boring quick and am not much of an outdoorsy person, but I'm a huge gamer so something like this appealed as I don't mind childish looking games. As a fitness game, it's great, it gives you a good and varied work out and it works you into each work routine and provides good fitness and health advice along the way. You also have the option to practice certain workouts and also a variety of mini games to beat your own (or a friend's) top score. The way the Adventure part of the game is designed works well to keep you in a good work out with the feeling of achieving goals each time you make it to the end of a level. As an interactive game, it works nicely because the controls are very responsive and of course you run to move, which means if you're not lifting those legs, neither is your character. It works as a nice warm up before you getting in monster battles. Monster battles are more designed to a mix of muscle and yoga-based workouts whilst the bits in between help with your cardio. The difficulty level can be adjusted to your fitness level. Meaning if you're unfit as me (and I am very unfit), you will be eased in, still break a sweat but not feel like you're about to keel over. Though I cannot comment fairly on the hardest difficulties for anybody who is fit. There is also a nice touch, there's a silent mode that adjusts your workout so that you don't disturb anybody who might be in the room below you. It also has an alarm to remind you of your workout schedule even if your Switch is turned off. You can even do workouts with the Ring Fit with your Switch in standby mode so you can still record what you do if you so decided so you aren't confined to just the game. They've definitely put an awful lot of thought into it. As an RPG and it is an RPG and I'm an RPG gamer so I'm gonna weigh in on that. It's "okay". The Adventure feels very much gauged to young kids, yet at the same time I don't think they're the target audience, but I suppose at least it's accessible to people of all ages. The character called "Ring" is very annoying and I'd probably have hated him as a kid too, but I can appreciate the workout based puns at least, as somebody who lives on bad puns. Drageux looks like he's on steriods and the story is very cheesy and very basic. It's not going to win any prizes for story or characterisation. However, in terms of mechanics, you've got a fair number of the basics you might expect from an RPG, you've got a battle system, you've got items you can use, you've got a shop where you can buy and sell stuff, you've got gear, you've got levelling and stats, you can customise your skill loadout and you have crafting. Your skill loadout choice is meaningful, because there is a rudimentary elemental weakness system in the battle system (based on colours) and different skills offer different potencies and scope in attack. I think the RPG element to it I think demonstrate the kind of depth a game using this control system could have. To that effect I hope the RingFit is not a one-game type deal. I'd be interested in future games that take it the next step further, mask the "fit" aspect more to have a more detailed in depth RPG element to it as the foundations are there. Then it'd feel less like you're playing a fitness game, but a game with plot and elements to drive you to move on. I feel like if we were to see something take that direction, it may trick more gamers into exercise. I think something like Final Fantasy Mobius could be adapted to this control system because it has a linear progression between fights like Ring Fit Adventure has, it has turn-based battles that work on interactive input (in Mobius's case it's the touch screen, but that could be adapted). At least this is the kind of potential I see for the controllers.

A good yet different kind of workout
Ring Fit Adventure usb2.0 (Nintendo Switch) for Gaming Consoles This offers a different yet unique gaming experience that you don't get from other consoles. The adventure game offers plenty of reply ability so you wont get bored quickly. I liked the fact that the difficulty can be adjusted to your level of experience you if your a complete novice or slightly more experience this is fairly good for everyone. Although you do need a good amount of space in order to play the game as this uses your body movement. The ring-con is a flexible plastic hoop that can be pulled, pushed apart without breaking. during the game play session i felt this is quite durable. Before you start your session there is a little on screen video which details how and where the controllers and band must be placed so it can be calibrated correctly. The game can be used to work on muscle groups which is something i found useful. Although this doesn't replace your gym exercise in general this does still give you a good work out and an enjoyable experience, i was surprised just how much movement you had to do so this is better than not doing any form of exercise at all. Overall well worth the money in regards to value, although expensive there is a good amount of replay value.

Got me back into enjoying fitness again
So I've had the ring fit for a few months now. I burn 200-400 calories per session according to my fitbit depending on how hard I push myself. Story mode: Starts off a bit dull, there are only a few moves you can do. I guess that this happens because not everyone has the same level of fitness and they need to make sure that you can do it safely before progressing. Levels are a mix of running, using certain moves and fighting enemies. Later on you get more and more moves that you can do to target certain areas, some are quite challenging (in a good way). It has also made me aware of some weaknesses I need to work on, my abs and flexibility in my back definitely have improved doing these exercises, I feel more 'well rounded' in my fitness overall. You can tailor make your workout so if you're feeling stressed, I select more yoga, when I want challenge I go for the more difficult and more cardio heavy moves. Whenever I think the game gets too too easy and I'm not working hard enough I up the difficulty and I'm back to sweating again! Like all exercise you have to put the effort in, if I want to burn more calories I run 'faster' in the game or do high knees, if you do things in a 'half a*rsed' way you won't burn as many calories. Once you get to the point of earning skill points and levelling up certain skills the game is fun enough that you keep on wanting to play to get to the next skill point. The story is silly and endearing, I quite like finding out what will happen next. Mini games: Mini games are really fun and some (squatery) are a real challenge. Playing with others really gets the competitiveness going! I didn't do much rhythm games because they didn't seem to be a work out to me. You can select your own workouts, and this part I have only started to do. It's better for when you are short on time. There are some moves you don't tend to use (that recover your life) because you get so many potions in the main game that do the same thing without taking a turn. So I put a few of these exercises into a more tailored workout (legs, arms, abs or cardio) as they are great exercises, but as they don't do damage the main game they seem a bit pointless.

Gamifying fitness has never been so much fun!
Kudos to Nintendo for once again coming up with a way to keep us lazy slobby gamers moving! I was quite intrigued by the whole concept of Ring Fit Adventure, and reading early reviews made me think that this might have something that other 'game console fitness' programmes might lack. "Ring Fit Adventure" mixes in simple exercises based on resistance, cardio and muscle movement but uses the genius game mechanic of fitting all that around an adventure game. Once you've set the device up (which couldn't be easier - though I would say NIntendo needed to make it clearer which way round you held the ring at first!) you're ready to ease into the warmup, the challenges proper, then the cool down afterwards. The sensors in the Switch Joy Cons are used to good effect, both on the ring and on a strap-on holster on your leg. With plenty of feedback from both, and the ring being surprisingly resilient despite being made of plastic, you will feel like you've had more of a workout than you might expect. Several developers have done similar things in the past (EA actually did a pretty good job with a resistance-based system for the Wii some years ago) but this feels like a bang-up-to date and fun way of using your Nintendo Switch to get fit. The games are pretty cheesy so if you're not a fan of Nintendo's style of game it might not be for you, but it's great for family fitness, offering a bit of something for all abilities, body shapes and strengths. Spot exercises and multiplayer fun add to the whole package. If you really devote some time to it, and build it into a fitness regime I think it'll really work. Time will tell whether the kit can stand up to the amount of punishment you put it to in the game part of the challenge (I was paranoid I might snap the ring or that it might become work-hardened and 'slack' over time) but so far it feels like it'll last a good long time before that happens.

Fantastic
Can’t say enough positive things about this. I am so lazy and hate exercising, I’ve tried all sorts and nothing keeps me motivated because it’s boring and just not fun. I’m on week 5 of this and love it. Loads of little games and challenges, you constantly want to beat your highest score and beat others so adds a bit of a competitive element if you are into that. It has fun jogging trails and all sorts of exercises and yoga. There’s literally so much to do and so much variety that there’s not a muscle in my body that’s not aching. My shape and measurements have changed pretty dramatically in last month so I’m over the moon. I wasn’t big but lockdown had left me squishier than I’d like and this has been a godsend. It’s also strong. My husband weight trains and has crazy strength so I was cringing when he had his first go, I was worried he would break it but he literally squeezes it so hard it almost touches in the middle and it takes the battering without issue, on the other end of the scale I have my youngest daughter who has connective tissue disorder and is exercising to try to build some strength and she can use it too as it calibrates to a persons push and pull strength then sets it for every session. One minor criticism would be that the rhythm games are repetitive. I assumed they were all different but they are the same exercise just varying lengths and different music and background. Other than that it’s pretty perfect and hoping they release new games periodically. Love it.

A really good game and a really solid workout
To preface this I am fairly fit: I've got a decent diet, I cycle, run and walk every weekday and rest at weekends. According to my Apple Watch I do between 90 and 150 exercise minutes daily, burning between 800 and 1200 calories. I also love RPGs and bright colourful graphics in my games. So when I say that Ring Fit Adventure is both a really fun game and a decent workout, hopefully you can trust that I mean it. In my first session with Ring Fit I calibrated the Ring Con to my strength and fitness level, as well as setting the intensity of workout I wanted (I went with Intense and I think ended up with 24/30 on difficulty). I then logged a 30 minute workout, built up a decent sweat, could feel it in the muscle groups I worked and in (according to my Apple Watch) burned 199 calories. But the best thing was I didn't really even notice I was doing it. Jogging through the first couple of stages felt really immersive with movement feeling very fluid and responsive. The "battles" in which you do damage to cute cartoony enemies by doing exercises repeatedly (at first you have squats, over head press, knee-to-chest and maybe a couple of others to choose from) are really enjoyable and push you to hit the rep count with satisfying feedback on screen. Is this game going to make you an Adonis? Probably not. Is it a replacement for intense gym workouts? Again, probably not. Is it a really fun way to burn a few calories, get a decent workout and tone up, all while enjoying a colourful, bright and at times very entertaining game? 100% absolutely!

Getting fit and having fun?
What can I really say it's a Nintendo game, if course it's going to be good. Ring fit adventure is well... A fitness adventure game where you run collect coins and face off against enemies where you have to beat them by exercising. The whole dynamic of the game is super fun and makes working out more understandable. Overall I'd highly recommend buying this game if you want to get fit
